???I opened my eyes and I could see clouded figures above me. A black shadow and a yellow and blue blob. I kept my eyes closed a lot. It was weird and hard to open them. A long time later I was able to open them and see the pretty world I was in. "Pheona" they called me.
Five years later
Pheona's P.O.V.
I played with my toys as my parents watched me. My dad was doing something and my mom was smiling at me. They told me that I wouldn't have a normal life. "Momma" "yes sweety?" "Why can't I have a normal life?" I was five at the time. She looked at my dad real quick then came over to me. "Honey, we aren't like normal people" "Why not" "your dad and I are running away from people so we have to stay secluded" she laid her hand on my shoulder. "But.." "no more questions that's just the way it's gonna be" my father stood up and walked out of the room. "Let me go talk to daddy" she walked away. Why were they running away? I decided to figure it out, to the best of my five year old abilities. I went over to the place my daddy was sitting. I looked at a rag with something underneath. It was a gun. I dropped the rag and crawled back to where I was quickly. I heard them coming back. I always watched them when they did something, suspicious of why they were running. Why don't they call the cops if they're in danger?

Pheona's P.O.V.
I woke up and got out of bed. Today felt different. It felt, wierd and off. I went into the living room. "Mom, dad?" "Huh, yes dear?" My mom walked in from the kitchen. I was always a wierd child. I had black ears and a tail. My mom was human and my dad was an anamorphic hedgehog. I had a blue eye and a ruby eye. "Oh. Just making sure you were here" "actually honey, we have a confession to make" "what?" I sat down. "We can't call the police about our 'Problem', honey" "Why not" "the police.. is our problem" "what do you mean?" "Were-" "Were refugees" my dad leaned on the door frame. "Refugees? Is this why I'm home schooled and kept inside?" "Yes" I pondered for a minute. "What if you get caught?" Maria looked at him. "Then... our life ends there" "Shadow!" She stood up. "Were not getting caught" "we can't run forever" "we can if we try" "It's not just our lives at stake, were ruining her life aswell!" I stood there. "Mom.. dad.." "Honey, don't you want a normal life with friends and nice things?" I stood there dumbfounded. What do I say? "Y- yes" he looked over at her. "But not if it means th-" Woo. Woo. Woo. Sirens went off outside. I looked at both of them and they were already up and moving. I grabbed my messenger bag and put five things in it. My phone, headphones, lipstick, a toothbrush, and a hairbrush. I didn't have much important things. I tried to run but the door burst open. "Mom, dad run!" I yelled as some cops came in through the door. "Put your hands up, don't move!" One came and put my hands behind my back. I'm fine, I hope they made it out. 'Fugitives apprehended' the lady said from the cops radio. "No!" I kicked him and ran outside. "Mom! dad!" I saw them get dragged away in a police car. I felt a sear pain in the back of my head. I fell down and gave a last glance at the car driving away with my parents. Then everything faded black....
