"Hey Yuri, why don't you put down the book already. Let's go to bed." Victor smiled warmly

"Tag okay." I nodded at him and closed my book and placed it in my bed side, i also removed my glasses while I was at it.
I turned back and faced my fiancé.

"I love you Victor." I smiled at the thought that I was going to marry the beautiful man in front of me someday.

I closed my eyes and rested my forehead on Victors. I about dozed off when I heard a crash from downstairs.

I sat up straight alarmed by the noise. Makkachin was at the vet for the night so I was startled.

"I'll go check it out." I heard Victor get up and turn on the bedroom light.

"I'll co-" I began but Victor insisted I stay and that it was probably nothing.

He began his search for the cause of the noise as I anticipated his arrival back but after 5 minutes I knew something was up.

I got up from the bed and walked over to the window. I looked out and saw a man with a brown coat and a face mask. I observed more and saw in his hand he was holding...

"Oh my god." I exclaimed and bolted out of the room and down the hard wooden steps. I slid through the kitchen and to the front door.

I yanked it open and it slammed against the wall. The man in the mask looked scared at the noise and pulled the trigger.
"VICTOR!!" I screeched.

"Oh my god." The man muttered and dropped the gun.
He then darted away into the night.

I dropped to my knees and placed Victor's head on my lap.

"HELP! SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!" I screamed out.

"Victor!" I looked into his now hazy blue eyes. His brows where furrowed and blood dripped from his light pink lips to his chin.

"H-hey." She looked at me and his mouth curved into a small smile. "I-I'll be okay, ok-kay?"

"Hey hey, stay with me Victor. Please don't leave me."

"Yuri..." he coughed and blood spurted out.

"Sh. Sh." I hushed him.
"SOMEBODY PLEASE! SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!" Our neighbor Mrs. Yamaguchi came running out with her home phone up to her ear.

"Y-Yuri, I l-love you. Don't forg-get tha-t." He laughed and coughed more blood.

"I love you too." Tears were now steaming down my face and my throats was in nots.

"I'll see y-you late- er, k-kay?"

"NO DAMNIT VICTOR PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!" I begged him.

I blocked to clear my eyes of tears. Victors chest stopped lifting and his nose was still. His eyes now empty and lifeless let one more tear fall.

"NO VICTOR PLEASE COME BACK." I screamed again "PLEASE YOU CANT GO YET! WE'RE GOING TO GET MARRIED, HAVE TWO DAUGHTERS AND AND PUPPIES, A HOUSE! COME ON VICTOR PLEASE"

But he didn't respond, he was gone. An ambulance pulled up, its sirens ringing.

They lifted him onto a stretcher.

"I'm sorry sir but he's gone." A man looked at me.

"N-NO! CANT YOU DO SOMETHING, SHOCK COMPRESSIONS RIGHT?"

"I'm sorry sir but he's gone. A shot to the head is very serious and since it wasn't treated soon enough I'm sorry but its out of our control. I'm sorry for your loss sir." The man and a woman pulled away the stretcher.

"NO PLEASE! He's gotta be okay!" I pleaded them but they continued on.

Mrs. Yamaguchi came over to me and wrapped me into a hug.
I couldn't help but nuzzle into her shoulder and ball. I felt like someone had just torn out my thought and my heart at the same time.

The first week was hell. I was sent to a recovery home for that week. I was questioned about the man who shot Victor and every event before and after he fired. I didn't talk, eat, or leave my room until the last day of being at the place.

When I finally got back to the apartment I received a letter saying that Makkachin was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma which is a type of bone cancer. This had apartment been in him for a year and he had about 3 weeks left.

I didn't get to spend those 3 weeks with him though. I got to visit him on his last two days. Apparently the tests they had done over the three weeks hadn't effected him and that was it.

I lost Victor.

Then I lost Makkachin.

I lost our house later and all of Victor's personal stuff. all I had left to link me to my fiancé was his and my engagement rings and skating. So even though I felt like shit and I was hoping through actual hell i counties to skate for him.

I lost track of my reason and lost all my energy. I would skate to skate. I used no emotion, no emphatically, no spark.

I had no one who equaled up to my skill and figure skating lost my interest though I never stopped because one thing I never forgot was that skating was my link with Victor and our passion would always live on though the sport.

We made an impact on skating.
We made history.
