Yuri was on today.

He had been leaned against one of the walls in the lobby when he was called on.

"Next we have our second performance in the 20-25 division, Yuri Katsuki. Yuri will be skating to O Sole Mio an Italian folk song. Choreographed by none other that his fiancé Viktor, it was his last choreography and Katsuki seems to hold this close to his heart." After the announcer had finished Yuri removed his ear buds, handing them to his coach. He then took off his jacket, and stepped up onto the rink.

Yuri got into his starting pose and awaited the music. He slowly moved when the piano played. He then began his steps. He was perfectly in sink with the song. Each moment he had was smooth and beautiful. He had so far landed everyone of his jumps and each spin was on point. The boy in front of me seemed different. The crowd was awestruck, as was I, no one could have guessed how well this boy would perform.

His face said it all.

He looked, warm? Maybe comforted. He seemed at peace, like he used to look when he was skating. He looked happy?

Once he finished he stood in his ending pose for an extra second before bowing and exiting the rink.

Once he had completely cleared the rink and gotten close enough for me to see his face I realized he looked truly passionate about his performance. Yuri's coach walked over to him and began talking, about his performance most likely. Yuri seemed quite iterated that that his coach was telling him that Viktor's choreography wasn't hood enough.

I began to realize that the boy was really angry, is eyes shown a spark of haste. Before I knew it I found myself right behind the the angry boy leaning into him and wrapping my arms around his hips. I couldn't see his reaction but at least the coach had stopped talking. As I pulled way from the questionable hug I turned Yuri to face me.

"That was beautiful Yuri. I'm so proud of you." I smiled at the boy and then looked at his coach, the man seemed very confused. As I began to turn my head back to yuri I felt two arms wrap around my shoulders and pull me into another hug. I began to hug the jot back when I heard I quite sob into my jacket.

And with the sob I heard a feint, "Thank you."

Once the big let go I quickly rushed him to the kiss and cry where his coach had seated himself.

"Yuri Katsuki, with the scores of," the announcer spoke.
As though right on cue the scores popped up on most of the screens through the arena,
Jumps :36.3
Spins :20.6
Routine:52.9
Total:109.8

Yuri's coach smiled quickly and stood up. And for the first time in a long time I saw something I never thought id see again.

Yuri smiled.
