Confessing

You were now walking towards the guild's door. Feeling nervous you thought of ways to confess how you felt for him. Releasing a sigh you stop at your tracks and comb some of our hair back in frustration, thinking that you wouldn't be able to tell the truth.

"What do I do? What do I do?" You continued to ask yourself in a low tone. Hearing a couple of laughs you turn to gaze to your right. Not far in the distance you spotted little Asuka with her parents. They smiled at each other as they both held each of the young girl's hands, lifting her up. They were the sight of a true happy family. Their love was clear and you knew that was something you would want. Happiness, laughter, love...that's what you desired.

Now focusing you gaze back on the guild's door, you felt your confidence build up because of your hope. Ready to do this you began to march towards the closed doors. Opening the doors you soon noticed the pink hair of the guy you had caught feelings for. There he was looking at you with his signature toothy grin. Gulping you brought up all your strength to walk towards him.

"Hey (y/n), what's up?" He asked while staring right back at you. Your eyes were locked with his and that's when you felt your courage die once again.

"N-Natsu..." You have trouble speaking.

"Yeah?" He replies to your voice calling his name. His smile was still visible, showing every inch of his handsome white teeth.

"I-I...kinda..." You try to speak up once more to confess your true feelings for him but you still couldn't.

"Are you feeling okay? You're turning red." Natsu tilts his head and gives you a worried look. His smile slowly fades away.

"..." You fell into silence. Feeling embarrassed you quickly turn your gaze down. Now staring at both of your feet you tried your best to not run away.

"Spit it out." He orders in a sweet tone, obviously wondering what was it you were struggling so much to say.

"Natsu...I-I...like you..." You stuttered your confession. Still not making eye contact you nervously played with your fingers.

"Is that what you were having trouble to tell me? (y/n) I like you too." He chuckles as he too confesses how he felt but unlike you it was with ease.

"W-What...?" Your eyes widened at his response. Slowly looking back up to stare at the now laughing Natsu you watched him rub the back of his neck.

"See it wasn't hard for me to say." He says to you in a teasing way before giving a huge smile. You were surprised by his confession but also relieved by the fact that your feelings weren't rejected.

Walking through the library you scanned the books nearby, searching for one about magic herbs. Pulling out an interesting looking book you notice the eyes of a familiar person looking at you from the other side of the book case. A smile formed on your lips at the conclusion of who it was. Placing the book back from where you got it, you then continued to walk.

Knowing that the eyes from before were still watching you, you lead them to a dead end. Smiling to yourself you turn on your heel to face the raven haired man you were expecting.
