JESUS CHRIST WHY AM I SO BAD AT UPDATING? any way. here you go.

Alexander stands and asks us where he can wash up. I lead him out of the kitchen and down the hall. I show him our water closet. He turns to look at me.

"Listen, Angelica. I didn't poison Peggy. But I think I know who did." He whispers into my ear.

"Really?" I ask in disbelief.

He nods.

"I suspect that it was Samuel Seabury. He's a loyalist and we got in a little scuffle a while ago."

I gasped. We had known Seabury as a child. He was not a gentleman from what I remember. He always rudely interrupted and pushed me and my sisters around. I don't think that he would attempt a murder though.

"Maybe he gave her the drink, but I don't think that he could do this on his own."

"Oh, I think he could, Angelica. This man will stop at nothing to keep America under England's rule."

"How will we catch him?" I ask.

"We can't just confront him. He'll deny everything and then it's his word against ours."

"You're right."

"I know."

I smile and playfully put my hand on his chest.

"We, uh, better go back. You know, before they get suspicious." I say.

I start to walk away, but he grabs my hand.

"Wait, there's one more thing."

"What is it?"

He reaches up and puts his hand on my cheek. I blush as we both lean in. Our lips lock. It's beautiful. As the kiss goes on we fall deeper and deeper in love. We break after a few seconds and I smile. He smiles back.
