I was in the shower washing my greasy hair, I didn't take a shower yesterday since I planned to do it today. That was a bad choice. I've overslept and now I have to take a short shower and rush through my daily routines.
I took no time to dry my hair and put on my clothes. Today was my first day of work. My job was at a small yet fancy café. I had to work really early (5 am). I'm taking this job while I'm not in college. At least, I get money to pay for my food and clothes.
Breakfast was just a strawberry pop tart and a glass of milk. I don't eat a lot in the mornings anyway. I didn't take my car since the Café was only across from my hotel. Before I left, I locked the door and jogged down the steps. The sun wasn't even out when I stepped out of my hotel.
I ran across the street and was glad that there were no cars out. Before walking into the Café, I adjusted my red pants and made sure my white button up was tucked in, I held onto my bag of clothes to change into after work. The warm air smacked my face as soon as I opened the door. The smell was also very pleasant. I walked into the kitchen to get to the employee lounge, where everyone else is at.
"Zach, I'm so glad you made it," said my boss, Mrs. Cheryl.
"It's great to be here" I responded.
"He's our new coworker," said a boy with brown hair.
"He's quite handsome," said a boy that looked just like him but wears glasses.
"Ray, Fin! Be polite" Mrs. Cheryl ordered. At least I know their names, but I don't know who belongs to who.
"It's great having another waiter, it was just me and Winnie," said a boy with blond hair.
Mrs. Cheryl already told me his name, it was Clifton. Clifton and Winnie are the only people Mrs. Cheryl told me about. Clifton was the flirty, charming boy, while Winnie was the sweet, innocent girl. They both sound like amazing people to me.I put my bag in the Boy's changing room and then took a seat next to Clifton. "Mrs. C, the cotton candy machine just got here!" Said a familiar voice that came from the doorway. Why does it sound so familiar? I took a look to see who it was and I was annoyed and angered by who it is. Jemmie Ashton. Right behind her was a reddish brown haired girl, that was described as Winnie.
