Nobuo burst through the door with Clifton right at his tail. "Tell me everything!" Nobuo sat down right in front of Rhett. Clifton found a seat right next to him. "I would ask Winnie but she's not here today," Clifton said. That's true Winnie doesn't work on Thursdays, unless we have an emergency.
"I told her everything I told you and somewhat told Zach" Rhett explained. "Why am I always left out during important information?" Nobuo commented before Rhett could say anything. "It's not that big of a deal" Rhett pushed it away. Nobuo made a face that says 'are-you-serious-right-now.'
"Anyways, when will Winnie come back," Nobuo asked. "She'll be here tomorrow, early in the morning," I told him. Before anyone could say anything else the door to the employee lounge swung open. "Everyone in position, I expect hard work today" Mrs. Cheryl clapped her hands as we all got up and scrambled to get ready for work."I'm sorry but we were all out of freshly cut tomatoes" I apologized as I set an omelet in front of a table with a lonely girl. I set down a freshly brewed tea next to her. The girl looked at me and smiled. "That's okay and also do you take this coupon" she picked up a rectangular coupon and handed it to me. This is my first time seeing someone use a coupon, it is rare for a regular customer to have a coupon.
"You probably don't remember me, but I was the guitar player at the mall, Lilac" the girl explained. That's when I recognized her from the mall. "Oh, I'm so sorry. You were such a great player" I complimented her. "Thanks, I've earned so much money that I started my own dance class. And I would love it if you and some of your friends would join" Lilac explained. It warmed my heart to hear that Lilac was doing good. "Thanks! I'll ask my friends if they are interested, how much?" I asked.
"Oh, it's free" Lilac smiled. Seeing her now, she is a generous person. I'm glad that I could see her now.
"Thanks, I'll tell them" I went to go straight to the kitchen but instantly turned around. Work first. "Sorry, I'll add this coupon to your discount" I bowed my head and took the coupon. Lilac gave a light chuckle as I started heading back towards the kitchen. The first person that I saw was Nobuo, he's a good person for spreading the word. "Hey Nobuo, a customer that we helped offered to give us free dance lessons to everyone working at Café Q," I told him.
"Seriously, now I can get my groove on professionally" Nobuo cheered to himself. I think the only dance move he knows is to twerk.
"Can you spread the word for me?" I asked him.
"Yes! This would be the best coworkers bonding time, but I don't think anything could beat playing laser tag" Nobuo added. We do bond a lot but mostly during work. Going to laser tag and walking in the mall was mostly an on-time thing. But I'm glad we could do those things.I've spent nine months with everyone and it would be hard to say goodbye to them. Now it's March, I have five months until I start going to college. It may seem like a long time but already nine months have passed in a blink of an eye, then I have to leave soon. What would happen to Café Q when I'm gone? Would everyone forget about me? It may come as a complete shock but working here was the best decision I've made.
