It was the beginning of the winter in the year of 1485, when I met the Harrison brothers in person. I've known them of course, for six months now, but they never knew that I existed. Hiding in the woods behind their house of course, may be the reason why they didn't notice me. Oh who am I kidding, that is the reason they didn't know because I didn't want them to know. If I wanted them to know, they would know. During that night of the OaksVille Ball, I decided it was time for them to know I existed.
I spotted Daniel first. I always spot Daniel first. He fascinates me. Just when I can read his mind and know his next move, he changes paths. Never sticks to his first decision, always thinking again. This night he was drinking. A thing I can always expect Daniel to do because he has such a problem with his liquor. Leaning against the bar in his black suit and white tie, he sticks out like a thumb. his dark brown curly hair and his perfect green eyes that could match mine, quite sexy actually.
Than there was his younger brother. Ah Edward Harrison. Good kid since birth but I know that I can get the bad kid out of him some how. I mean he is Daniel's brother. Opposites are what they are. Edward with his short blonde hair, and his baby blue crystal eyes. Complete opposites. That's what I like about them. My Harrison brothers. Time to play.
I walk over to the bar, and wanting to be noticed by the brothers, I order a cocktail. Now this is going to attract Daniel. A young, pretty, girl drinking in the middle of a party just like him? He'll take the bait. Sweet little Lucinda Cassidy, the age of eighteen, forever eighteen if I might add, drinking at a towns party?
I turn towards the boys but only look at Daniel and I speak for the first time to them. "Well, well, well, Edward Harrington drinking bourbon?" I say purposefully calling Daniel Edward and saying the wrong last name of course.
Daniel looks at me, confusion written on his face. "My pardon ma'am?" He replies to me. Ugh how I hate when people call me ma'am. I mean yes I'm almost one hundred years old but I will always look forever eighteen.
"Did I miss speak? I'm sorry, I am very bad with names. I'm Lucinda. Lucinda Cassidy." I say to them playing it off like I'm embarrassed about the fact that I called Daniel Edward.
Daniel introduces himself and his brother. Always taking the lead alpha. A thing I am going to change. Edward needs to start to know his worth. Stop always being a side kick to his brother.
I look over at Edward and he gets this silly grin on his face like a baby does when they see a dog. Such an easy target to fall in love with me. I laugh at his stupid grin than say, "So Edward is the one who doesn't break rules. Correct? Since you Daniel, are drinking openly in the middle of a dance while only seventeen years old." My drink comes than and I take a sip. The change of my attitude from sweet little rich girl to a royal bitch shocks them. You can tell by the way they look at me.
"I'm sorry, how do you know my brothers age?" Edward asks me setting his boring beverage of water on the table. If only he knew I knew both their ages. Edward sixteen, seventeen next month, which he will stay as forever, and Daniel seventeen, which just like his brother he shall stay as forever. If only they knew that I knew so much about them.
Ignoring Edward's question I go straight into the fact that I'm tired of playing this nice evening chit chat game with them I just want to get things going.
I dance with both brothers separately of course, how could I choose just the one brother when they are so attractive. I whisper into their ears things they will do the hours to come, like how they will fight over me outside my house while I watch and wait for the perfect time to come back outside; or how they will fall in love with me the instant they look into my eyes. Of course I make them forget what I have told them to do for they would be too crept out to consider such things when they have just met me, but they will still do it for I have compelled them to do so.
During a dance with Edward I tell him that we should go back to the bar and once we do so, we soon leave for them to escort me back home. Riding in the carriage with both the Harrison brothers was tight but comforting. The fact I could rip their heads off in a matter of seconds still didn't matter to me because I felt safe with them here.
Once at my house, I head up my steps to go and change for the night. Daniel however had other plans. He wanted to come upstairs with me without his brother. He was very drunk for he was drinking before I even set foot into the towns ball. His mind, which I was happening to be reading, was very dirty. Edward's however was full of respect for me and told his brother to stop being like this towards me for I deserved better. Much better.
Once inside my house I quickly change and headed towards my window in my room. Outside, the boys were fighting, just like planned. I smiled and than headed downstairs. Not expecting for Daniel to punch Edward, I ran outside once I saw such a thing had happened. Running to Edwards to make sure he was okay made him very happy not so much Daniel.
After such foolishness, I got sick of the nice girl act again, and told Daniel and Edward to get into the carriage. I was going to do this and I was going to do it now. Tired of waiting so maybe Edward will be forever sixteen instead. As I told them to listen to me and do what I wanted, I could feel their bodies tense up. I could feel Edward beginning to get scared. Both the boys blood was pulsing fast and it made it so hard for me to resist.
Edward always worried me that he would find out what I was before I was able to finish my plans and tell them myself. He's too smart. Loving me will distract him a little. Actually it will distract both of them a little. So I compelled them to love me. Without voicing my commands, just a little mind control.
They fell in love with me. Both of them so fast. Satisfied with my compulsion I headed back inside. Smiling to myself all the way up the stairs before I forgot about my 'parents.' Ah my 'parents' two middle aged people who I took from New York just to compel them that they were my parents. Since my real parents were human of course, they died. Shunned me before they died though, so not like it would really matter. They didn't like what someone made me into. They hated the fact that their daughter was a vampire. A monster in their eyes.
I head back downstairs and go into my 'parents' room. I find them sound asleep. Perfect. Sooner or later I will have to turn them or find parents after parents for the next century. I'm leaning towards turning them. They're such good 'parents' that I couldn't go hunt another couple and have another suspicion on a missing persons case.
I head upstairs to my room. Boy was I hungry, but I could wait another day or two to feed on the Harrison boys. I smile to myself and crawl into bed. No matter what myth you have heard, vampire's do have to sleep.
