"I gave you blood, blood, gallons of the stuff. I gave you all that you can drink and it has never been enough. I gave you blood, blood, bloooooooo-" I sang along with the music, until a beeping noise interrupted me.

A message.

Again.

It has been two weeks since the messages started. They had become part of my life. When I first got them I replied to them a lot. Now I just ignore them. They had been messages like: come to this and this lane around this and this time. I ignored them. I don't know if I should be scared of them or not. Probably it was just some kind of guy, thinking he was funny. Or girl. I didn't know who sent it. I wanted to find out but I'm kind of a procrastinator and didn't do it.

I wasn't always one. I was the mega nerdy and the always-made-homework-three-weeks-before-the-deadline kind of kid. Until I met Vic. Vic, adrenaline kick. The rebellious, I-don't-make-homework,-you-make-it-for-me kid. One day she just appeared in class and sort of 'chose' me. Chose me as her friend. It was like winning the jackpot. I went from bullied kid to obeyed kid.

Unlike me, my parents didn't like Vic. I mean, I could understand, but they should be at least a bit happy for me. Happy that I finally found friends. Well, friends found me. And I just changed. My music style, my personality, my interests, my looks, they all changed; like, bloop. The most happy I was with how my looks changed. I was the typical nerd, complete with bullet-proof-inches-thick-glasses. But thanks to Vic, I was obeyed by the boys. Vic changed my entire wardrobe, convinced me to use contact lenses instead of glasses and even made me dye the points of my hair neon pink and purple.

So as I said, my parents hate Victoria. They disapproved our friendship from the first day on. They thought she had 'bad influence' on me. But I knew the truth. They don't care if she has bad influence on me, they are scared that she has bad influence on my grades. My grades were the only thing they cared about. And that's exactly why I chose to hang out with Victoria instead of studying.

"Amanda! You're still downstairs? Go to school!" My mom shouted.
"Mom, I have the first period free!"
"No, you don't!"
"Yes, I do!" I shouted and slammed the living room door shut and ran upstairs, making as much noise as I could.
My mom followed.
Fuck.
I ran to my room as quickly as I could, ending up literally slamming the door in her face. "AMANDA HALLOWS, YOU ARE GROUNDED!" She shouts as she recovered from the smack of the door.
Like I cared. It was Friday anyway.

I jumped on my bed and got a book. 'Partners in crime' was the name of the book. It was pretty nice, and full of references. I let my nerdy self take over, diving in my own little world, where no one looks up from a unicorn or other mythical creatures.

I dreamed away in my world of prison breaks and crimes until a buzzing sound dragged me out.

Fucking messages.

I looked at my phone. I mumbled the text I read on my bright glowing screen.

Then I realized what the text said.

'We've got Victoria, come to Laurel Street around 6 pm if you want her back.'

It was followed by a picture.

A picture of Vic.

Bruised all over her face.

Then I realized,

I shouldn't have ignored the messages.

N/A: ANOTHER PART DONE! Sorry that it took so long... Maybe you'll get another shot from the murderers perspective in the next chapter~ Anyway, the book I mentioned -Partners in crime- is real. It is a reference to a story my friend, Demi, wrote. She is also on WattPad, so I suggest giving her a follow! Her name is AnastasiaRoodbloed.

See you in the next chapter!
