Victoria Camberland
Marie Curie high school
Standing before the giant building a thought popped up. Brick box. Because that's what it looks like. A giant grey brick box. How boring. So this'll be the school I'll be on for the upcoming years until I leave this damned state, I thought.
My bag murdering my shoulders I walked into the box, looking as confident as I could. The hallway was empty because the bell already went. Dammit, now I needed to find class on my own. "Well this is going to be awkward" I said to myself. No one was here so I could do that. Well, I hoped no one was there. Which, unfortunately, wasn't the case. A girl with half long brown hair quickly ran past me. She was wearing an animal suit, probably a school mascot. Or a furry. "SARAH, GIVE ME MY HEAD BACK," she shouted. Why did my parents choose this school out of all schools. A different girl (presumingly Sarah), wearing normal (but strangely yellow patterned, like an ice tea bottle) clothes and had long blond curly hair, held a bottle of Lipton ice tea in her left hand, and the head of the fursuit in her other hand. She laughed and walked toward the other girl. "Here," she said while giggling.
Then I noticed two more girls. Both wearing black. One had brown curly hair on shoulder length, the other one red. Nice, the emo kids, I thought. "GIRLS LOVE GIRLS AND BOYS," they sang loud and out of tune. The gay emo kids, I corrected.
"I'M BATMAN," I heard someone scream in a dark voice as they jumped down from some lockers. It was another girl. This time wearing a black cape and a batman mask. She had long blonde hair which got caught in a locker-door. This resulted in very loud cursing. This school has gone mad!
When I was making up a way to escape this school, suddenly, a person tapped my shoulder. "H-h-hi," they said anxious. They wore a unicorn horn in their short hair, which was dyed blue. Why, just why... "T-t-the principal said I should g-get you." They stuttered. "F-follow me..." God, no, I thought first, but then I remembered which people are here. It was either awkward introduction, or emo, furry, Lipton and batman. I decided to go to the principal.
The hallway of the school was filled with drawing, stupid motivational quotes, and posters of random words. The drawings and the quotes were pretty much normal (except for that one drawing with a lot of dicks on it), but the words were the strangest. There were words like together and bullying, but also words like feet, and clothing. What the heck is this school.
"I-i-if you go t-to the left h-here you'll g-get to the p-principal's office." The kid I was walking with stuttered. I said nothing back, and walked in. "Ah, you must be Victoria." The principal said as I walked in. Ew, she used my real name. "That's me." I said laid-back as I dumped my bag on the floor.
"My name is Anne."
She stuck out her hand to shake. I ignored it.
"So sit down Victoria."I sat on the incredibly uncomfortable wooden chair in front of her desk, which was brown and full of circles left by some kind of beverage (probably coffee).
"So, you are new at our lovely high school. Have you met any of the students so far?" She continued.
"I've met the person that brought me here, I guess."
"You mean Sam? A very lovely student."
"I guess."
"Anyways, seeing as you're new, I should introduce you to our rules here."
Why do they always keep telling me the rules, they know I'll never listen to them.
"Oh please, do continue." I said uninterested.
"No bullying, no smoking, no going of school terrain unless you've got approval from a teacher, you must attend every class - if you do not attend you will get detention - , you must do what the teacher asks from you - unless it physically harms you or another student - , and no bikes allowed on the school terrain. We also have a dress code. You can't wear short skirts and short trousers, nor can you wear the so-called 'crop tops' and tank tops to school." Principal Anne summed up like she knows it by heart. Did she learn that for fun or something? She seems like the person to do that kind of thing.
"If you think know the rules we could go visit your new class!" She said excited.
"Yeah, sure."We both walked out of the room, one of us more excited than the other. Principal Anne tried to talk to me for a bit but I simply didn't answer. Teachers shouldn't try to be 'cool' and 'modern'. You're not. Stop it.
In the end we stopped at classroom 301; the science classroom. "Are you ready?" Anne asked excited. I answered with a small 'ugh'. "I'll take that as a yes," she said while opening the door. "Hello my wonderful pupils!" She said. "Now, if you'll excuse me please, we've got a new classmate for you! Her name is Victoria, please be nice to her." I looked up like an emperor. Because that's what I am, an emperor of this class. Or, at least, its what I'm going to be. "Take a seat, Victoria," the science teacher said. "My name is Mr. Namella." He shook my hand. "Why don't you go sit next to Jackie? I'm sure you don't mind sitting next to a guy." He continued. I looked around the classroom. Then, suddenly, my eye caught a girl. Not the prettiest girl, but a girl with potential. Behind those big glasses of hers hides a stunning young lady. "I'll take this seat instead," I said as I sat next to the girl. "My name's Vic, don't call me Victoria, but you know that. Yours?" I asked
"M-my name is Amanda."
A/N: FINALLY ANOTHER PART DONE! A long one too! 1004 words without the A/N! Honestly I'm pretty proud of myself. By the way, the girls and person in the hallway are based on me and my friends. I'm sorry if I offended any of you! Love you though! Anyway, I hoped you liked the start of Amanda's and Victoria's friendship! See you in the next chapter, which hopefully comes quick!
