Chapter 6: Buddies

After school, Mark and I were walking home when I remembered I had brought Sam to school. I felt rustling in my backpack. Oh shit, no Sam! He popped right out of my backpack and looked at me and Mark. I flushed with embarrassment and looked at him. He stared at Sam with a deranged look on his face, but it became excitement. "Oh. My. Gosh!!" He screamed. I thought I was the only one! TIIMM!! Jack found you a buddy!" He smiled brightly. When nothing came out, he looked confused. "Tim! What's up, buddy? Come on!" He reached inside his backpack, rustled around, and pulled out a small box. "Uh... Mark-?" I said. "That's just a box."
"Awe... he's just sleeping. Tim! Wake up! Such a heavy sleeper." He laughed. I was going to call him crazy, but the tiny box had moved! Then two huge eyes opened on that tiny box! "Let me introduce you to Tiny Box Tim. He's my little buddy! I thought I was the only one in the school with one! So I hid him. He mostly sleeps, anyway. And he's tiny, so it's easy to put him in my backpack." He said, holding him out. "Say hi to Jack!" He said cheerfully. I waved, then turned to Sam. "This is Septic Eye Sam. He's my buddy, and he begged me to bring him to school." I said, giving Sam a look. "But anyways, Sam. Say hi to Tim." I said, indicating the tiny box. He looked at Tim, then waved. Tim waved sleepily and then collapsed again. "Well, Shit." He said, giving Tim a peice of candy and watched him narf it down. Then he looked at Sam. "How long has Sam been in your Bag?" He asked. Sam hit me, and I answered truthfully. "All day" I said sheepishly. "SHIT, DUDE!" He rushed to Sam. "He must be hungry as hell!" I stared at him. "He can't eat, dumbass." I said, laughing. "Where's his mouth?" He looked at me, then laughed. "Yeah... right." He laughed weirdly. "Okaaay then! To myyyy house we goooo!!!" He marched straight ahead, stuffing Tim into his bag as I laughed. This was going to be interesting.
