When I Say Run, Run! (Ruby Redfort x reader)

I hope you're okay

(Y/N) stared at the board. She couldn't do any work.

It had been two days. Two long days.

She thought about what the other people could've had in common. She sighed.

As she left school, she saw Hitch standing beside his car. He was alone.

"Before you ask if I'm okay, no, I'm not."

"I wasn't gonna say that." He looked down at her.

"What were you gonna say?"

"Clancy has been kidnapped by the same people. Ruby is back at home. She stayed off today."

"Oh," (Y/N) paused. "Wasn't he her boyfriend?"

"Yeah. She's very upset over it." He paused. "Aside that, my friends have found a new lead. Ruby has the information on it."

"You have friends?" (Y/N) laughed.

"I mean our agency." Hitch said, once they had got in the car. He ruffled (Y/N)'s hair and smiled at her frown.

When they got through the door, (Y/N) went straight to Rubys room and pushed open the door.

"(Y/N) What are you do-" Ruby began.

(Y/N) launched herself at Ruby.

"It's gonna be okay, Ruby." She said, hugging her tightly.

Ruby hugged back. But it was what (Y/N) said next that mattered.

"I have a hunch everything will be okay."
