"No, put that back!" I snapped at prince as he tried to sneak a small box of pudding into my cart. He smacked his lips and threw the box on the floor. Childish.

I'm never and I mean never taking his ass grocery shopping with me again. I came only for the things to make chicken enchiladas and a few other things for the house but prince won't let me make it. Anything he likes he thinks I'll like it too so he throws it in my cart, but in reality we both know he's just gonna come over and eat it. I moved around the snacks in the cart to make sure I had everything I needed but something's missing.

"Prince can- never mind." I said about to ask him to go get the tortillas but nah, he'll come back with everything but that. I pushed the heavy ass cart to the bread isle and left prince there talking to some female. I scanned over the tortillas and checking the dates on them. As I was bending over to grab a few packs of tortillas some dude smacked my ass. I got up and turned around quickly

"Please don't do that, you will upset my man." I snapped at the guy who stood over me. He chuckled.

"I don't see you with a man or a ring on your finger."

I stood there disgusted. This guy was not at all cute, he had thick crusty lips, His breath smelled like hot ass and cancer sticks and let's not forget he looked to be about in his late thirties. I was about to say some very disrespectful things but prince stepped in

"Nigga she ain't gotta have one! Fuck outta here old ass." Prince threatened. He apologized and quickly walked away. I got what I needed and we walked to the check out line. There wasn't a line to my luck so that's good. We began putting the food on the thing and the girl started to scan everything while another bag it.

"Yo total is $352.08" the girl said mugging me. Um?

"Shareefa why you mugging?" Prince asked sighing and paying the bitch.

"That's yo girl now? You did better with my baby cousin pomaneisha"

"What you tryna say?" I asked narrowing my eyes at her

"That you ugly and look broke."

"Ugly? Broke? But bitch you the one bagging my groceries."

"And? You probably ain't even gotta job hoe!"

"SHE A STRIPPER!" Some guy yelled. People were now watching us.

She was about to say something back but prince cut her off.

"Chill hoe, and that's not my girl that's all ice." He said slightly mugging her.

When he said that the people around started to whisper shit to the people next to them and others looked shocked. I don't think they were whispering good things because I got a lot of mugs and bitches rolled their eyes. I didn't like the attention so I took my cart and left while prince and coral reef had their conversation. I used my key to unlock the truck and started to fill the trunk up with groceries. When I was halfway through a girl who looked around my age with a baby on her hip walked up to me.
