The Halloween Party.
One month later.

Brittney.

"But for real though, why do you want to be on the phone with me all day?" I asked smiling hard a little.

I'm on the phone with that guy I met at the gas station awhile ago. His name is king. Remember him? We've been kicking it for a few weeks now.

"You heard me?" I asked realizing he didn't respond.

"Oh nah, what you said?"

"I saiddddd..why do you like being on the phone with me all day?"

He smacked his lips. "Cause I'm just tryna get to know yaaaa get a little closer baby post up, ooooh do you mind?" He sung.

I started laughing and he did too.

"But aye shorty, I got some things to take care of but I'll see you tonight." He said.

I rolled my eyes and nodded as if he could see me. "Whatever king." I said.

He chuckled. "You must like talking to me all day or some?"

I smiled. "Maybe, maybe not." I said then hung up.

I put my phone on the charger because it was about to die. I swear it was fully charged before I got on the phone with King.

I'm bored as hell now though. I guess I'll clean the house until it's time for my party to start. Oh yeah, Persuasion, honey and I are throwing a Halloween party.

It's about to be bussing for real because everybody about to be there.

My room door opened and Jayda walked in.

"What's up." She said sitting on the bed.

I just stared at her. To be honest I forgot about her.

"Hey." I said waving at her. "Torie downstairs or was the door unlocked?"

"Shorty was downstairs." She said taking off her slides and jacket.

I nodded and continued staring at her. She look so different. She lost weight and her hair grew out and it's dyed jet black.

"I missed you." I said to break the silence.

She nodded. "Oh that's what's up..what you been up to shorty?" She asked scrolling through her phone.

I shrugged. "Hanging with my bitches and stripping. You?"

She looked at me like I was dumb.

"What happened to nursing school and all that?" She asked.

I waved her off. "Fuck that."

She chuckled and shook her head.

"But I been working and taking care of my baby. She about to be two in a few months you know."

I smiled and nodded. She ain't say anything else she was just looking around my room.

"What happened to all of our pictures?" She asked staring at my picture wall.

Just a few weeks ago when I was remodeling my room I ended up taking down all of my old pictures and putting up new ones.

I pointed to the closet. "Do you want them?" I asked.

"Nah. I'm good." She responded

I don't like the way Brittney act now. Shorty acting them lame ass bitches she be around. That's one of the reasons I haven't been fucking with her lately. I really been kicking shit by myself. If I'm not by myself I'm with my daughter.
