Prologue 2.0
Alpha Ralph is the alpha of the strongest werewolf pack in Maine, the White Knights. All male members of his pack undergo intense training starting at the age of 10. The training was harsh and relentless, almost to the point that a ten year old body couldn't endure. But it's for their own good and the pack's, and everyone who belonged in it understood. Our pack was respected in the werewolf community because we were one of the last three remaining packs headed by a pure blooded werewolf.
Female werewolves weren't trained like the males were.Sexist as that is, it's been the pack's law for generations. But that all changed when I, being a pureblood and an Alpha's daughter at the same time, was kidnapped when I was younger. But I don't remember much at that time.
My father did the one thing his father and forefathers never did, train the she-wolves in the pack. What happened to me became an eye opener to my father. He wanted every female, especially me, to be able to defend ourselves if anything ever happened to us.
My mother, the Luna, led the few women we had and helped the young she-wolves undergo intense training. She was caring and loving especially to us female pups. She acted like the nurturing mother we all knew she was to anyone in the pack.
By the age of 13, I was one of the best fighters our pack had alongside a few brave warriors and my twin brother, Aidan. After Aidan and I shifted, our bond became stronger. We did almost everything together, we were inseparable.
Purebloods were rare nowadays as more and more werewolves mated with humans. It couldn't be avoided as we cannot choose whom we mate and whom our wolves bond with. How can we know if a werewolf has pureblood? Easy, by the color of their wolves. Pure Blooded wolves have only one color to their fur, it's either black or white.
We usually have training camps every weekend where every warrior and pups were trained by the fiercest fighter among us. And just like any other weekend, we were having our training in a clearing in our territory.
I was 15 when our training camp was attacked by rogues. Aidan and I volunteered that weekend to help train the pups that's why we were there. We always bring more fighters with us but they were out on a hunt that weekend so we were only few. There were only a couple of us who knew how to fight properly, most who attended were pups beginning their training.
Aidan told me to run once he knew what was happening but I just couldn't leave them there and save my sorry ass, can I? So I fought and killed as many rogues I encounter. But a few fighters and a couple teenagers weren't enough to hold them off.
We were surrounded by the rogues, not letting anyone escape to call for help. The young ones weren't capable of defending themselves. It was a slaughter house. We were overwhelmed by numbers, I say there were at least two packs of rogues in the clearing. I don't know what they want, all I knew at that time was that I needed to defend everyone.
I was busy holding my ground as Aidan rushed off to help a group of young pups surrounded by rogues. I trusted him well enough to know that he can handle a couple of rogues on his own. But because he can't defend and attack at the same time, he had a hard time fending the rogues. And the rogues obviously knew what he was capable of, planning their attack well.
Three rogues pinned him down while the other three attacked, biting and clawing him until he was full of cuts and gashes. He fought bravely, never succumbing to the pain. But with all those wounds, I doubt he can even move a single muscle in his body. After awhile, the rogues were able to put him down, eventually snapping his neck, killing him.
I was busy fending off two rogues of my own that I wasn't able to rush by his side. I tried but the two wolves didn't make it easy for me. I finished the two as quickly as I could but I was too late. I heard a snap and when I turned, I saw his limp body.
Everything around me didn't matter anymore. My wolf howled in pain as her other half died. She trembled in anger. She was so enraged that all she wanted were heads rolling. She wanted blood. She wanted everyone dead. What happened next was out of my control.
My wolf took over. She killed everything she got her paws on and I mean everything. She didn't care whether the wolf in front of her was friend or foe. She killed everyone. Everyone.
After what seemed hours to me, bodies laid everywhere. Nobody was left alive. There was blood throughout the clearing. My wolf's craving for blood was satiated enough that she handed control to me. But not after killing everyone, even my pack members.
It was then I realized, I killed them all. Their blood was in my hands. And I couldn't bear the hatred and disappointment from my family if they knew, so I did what I knew I had to do that afternoon..I ran away.
After two days of continuous running, not bothering to stop and eat or even drink, my body finally gave up. Alpha Darren, Head of the Council, found me lying in the forest and took me in and nursed me back to health. Yes, you heard me right, Alpha Darren is the Head of the Council, and the pack I was staying at was the Elder's pack. I was weak when they found me and took pity to the little girl they saw.
They were very hospitable and very kind to me. Though I became a rogue, they didn't judge me and didn't bother asking me about anything. They knew there was a story behind everything, behind the front I was letting them see. But they didn't bother asking me for details, and I was glad they didn't.
I grew close to their pack and stayed for almost a year. I even helped them train their fighters. But I knew I had to keep running. I felt my secret wasn't safe here and so I left again. Alpha Darren and his mate, Cynthia and their son, my closest friend, Damien, helped me snuck out of the pack. Knowing that everyone would pursuade me, I couldn't let them know.
I was thankful for the Council's help, especially for not asking me a lot of questions. And of course, for letting me stay at their pack. But grateful as I am, I just couldn't stay. I couldn't risk it.
I ran and ran until my feet were sore, resting for only a few hours and sleeping at the bare minimum, just enough to fuel me up for another run. It was then that I got careless and stumbled upon another pack's territory.
I've been very careful not to trespass on other pack's land, but we can only concentrate for too long.
And that was how I got myself into this situation..
A situation that probably would change my life forever.

I thought I'd give you guys a little from Addie's past. She's a fighter then, still is now. But will she be able to overcome the sadness and guilt for the things she had done though? Or will she succumb to the pain and eventually give everything up? What do you think? ;)
