Team roping I am so excited to finally start roping with Elena. We've been practicing for months and we can now be a team. "Skylar! We've got to get dressed! What shirt are you wearing? We've got to match!" Elena yelled at me. "I don't know! Hold on and I'll come look."
"How about this?" I asked holding up our black lace pearl snaps.

"Perfect!" We both got dressed and put sweat shirts over our shirts to keep them clean while we groomed and tacked but when we came out we found our boyfriends mounted on horses leading our perfectly groomed and tacked horses. We threw our jackets back in the trailer and hopped on our horses heading for the arena. Narrator POV Everyone got warmed up and the announcer started calling the line up, the riders entered the arena as their names were called. The first riders were called, " Skylar Jones, the header, riding Honor. And Elena Lana, the healer, riding Hollywood Runner!" They backed into their corners and when the steer was released they bolted forward. Sky looped the head tied it up and pulled it around for Ele. Elena threw her heal shot, pulled up and got both back feet she tied it up and they looked at the time. 6.253s. "We got this no doubt about it!" Elena said. "Omg I CANT believe it!!!" They headed back to the guys, who gave them hugs and kissed them before hearing their own names and lining up in the corners. They got a time of 7.251s. "Nice guys you should have second." Ele said supportively. "Thanks Boo Boo! Let's head over and grab a drink." They went over and got a drink, while Sky and Levi took their horses back to the trailer and took a nap.
A couple hours later and it was time for the awards. "Ladies and gentlemen our top three finalist teams are, drum roll please!" The crowds feet roared. "In third place we have Gertrude Hernandez riding Firework and Daren Finch riding Astro!" The crowd went wild. "In second we have Levi Erickson riding Jazzi and Sawyer Reed riding Bullseye!" Again the crowd screamed. "And in first...we have...SKYLAR JONES RIDING HONOR AND ELENA LANE RIDING HOLLYWOOD RUNNER!" It was surprising the crowd was even people they were so loud. Everyone received their rewards and went off to get ready for the parties.
"Hey guys were taking you out to dinner tonight. So dress nice." Sawyer said to the girls. "Ok we will." The girls got dressed in nice dresses.

The girls waited for the boys to pick them up. When the boys arrived they would not tell hen where they were going. "Come on Sawyer. Please tell!" "No way. It's a surprise." They drove to Logan's Road House and got seated. "What do you want Skylar?" Levi ask. "I was thinking if you wanted to we could share somethin." "That sounds great Levi, how bout the ribs?" "Great! Sawyer, Ele, what are y'all ordering?" "I think I'm gonna get the mini burgers." Sawyer answered. "I'm gonna get a steak. That's what their famous for!" The waitress came and took their orders. They also received their drinks. All root beer. "You girls excited for tomorrow?" Sawyer asked. "I'm excited, nervous, freaking out, but confident." Replied Elena. "Wow Ele. Little mixed up there." Skylar said laughing. "Yea" "What about you Sky?" Levi asked. "I'm fine." She said calmly, not meaning a single word. Inside she was freaking out. Her worst enemy would be there. Dalia Rhodes. She would do anything to win, ANYTHING... Levi thinking I know something is bothering her but I don't know what. Could it be the barrel race tomorrow? Maybe someone is going to be there. I'm gonna have to find out. I'll listen to her closely and see if she gives it away subtly. Narrator POV They all received their food and ate their dinner in comfortable silence. After everyone finished eating they hall headed off to the dance.
"May I have this dance?" Sawyer asked Elena. "Yes you may!" She giggled back. They went off to dance to the slow song just coming on. "Sky would you dance with me?" "I would love to!" They also went off to dance. After hours of dancing the four went home. They got the horses comfortable in their stalls, locked up the tack room, then started getting ready for bed. "Dibs on showering first!" Yelled Skylar. "Dang it!" Responded Sawyer and Elena in sync. "Not if I beat you there!" Levi announced. But Skylar was already at the door. "Gonna have to be a little faster bae!" She said before slipping in. After everyone showered and got their pjs on they crawled into bed and immediately fell asleep.
