"Invitation"
/^\

What a lovely day. Who am I kidding? There's no lovely day if you're not even loved. I got up from my bed and took a bath in the bathroom. I went out then walked downstairs to see Mom. "Good morning Terry," mom greeted. "Good morning too, mom," I greeted back. Then, I went to the kitchen to drink water and saw dad reading a newspaper, he smiled at me and I smiled back.

I went to the lobby and turned on the television. "Hey darling, I'm going somewhere with your mom. Can you guard the house?," what dad said made me startled. "Where are you going dad?," I asked. "Your mom and I will watch a movie," said dad while he was smiling widely. A date, huh? "Okay," I replied while facing the television. "Don't worry, our maid is here with you," Mom said and answered her with a smile.

Few hours later, I went to the kitchen to pick up some snacks after feeling a state of hunger. "Hmm, what do we have here?," I murmured as I searched through the fridge. "Oh, a pizza," I said as I pulled out the box of pizza inside the fridge then I went back to the lobby and started eating.

"Hey Terry, there's a mail for you," said the maid while handing out a piece of envelope. "This early? By the way, thanks," I thanked and observed the white envelope in my hand. "What is this?," I questioned as I saw something on the envelope. It's a crest of a school. "AU? What is this? I never heard of this school before," I said confusedly as I opened the envelope. "Wait, is this a registration form? What?," I said with full of confusion then walked to my room and hid the envelope. Why would an unknown school give me a registration form in the middle of the summer? Are they kidding me? The envelope messed up my mind as I thought on how I was given the form, and as I thought and thought, I fell asleep.

"HEEEEYY WAIT FOR MEE!," A girl shouted. Ugh, so noisy. "Come faster, Terry!," said a boy who stopped running and waited for the girl. What? Terry?. Terry—I mean the girl ran faster until she tripped. "WAIT!," I shouted as I ran to her even though I can't catch her. While running, I stopped because something peculiar happened. The boy who was waiting for her suddenly ran and caught her, but something is strange. The boy was like a couple of meters away from her, how did he ran so fast to catch Terry—I mean the girl? I stood there frozen as my mind is still confused about the peculiar event.

"H-hey, are you okay?," The boy asked while lifting Terry up to stand straight. "Y-yes, thank you. That was really fast, Gin," said Terry as they high-fived each other. "Well, my power is made to save people who are really kind—like you," Gin said as his ears turned red. Terry pouted and said. "Good for you, you already got your power. How about me?" Gin smiled as he patted Terry's head. God, it's so weird that her name is Terry. "Terry! It's already late, let's go home" a female voice said in the background. That voice is familiar.

I followed Terry with my eyes as she bid goodbye to Gin then ran to the woman who owns the familiar voice. Wait, is that mom?! "Let's go home, dear," said mom—I mean the woman who looked like her then they walked into an unfamiliar vehicle. As they already went to their vehicle, Terry opened the window and bid goodbye again to Gin who was standing alone smiling. "Bye Gin! See you again some day!," said Terry happily as she waved her hand. Their vehicle started its engine and they went off.

I went to Gin who was still smiling while looking at Terry's vehicle. I approached him and asked, "You like that girl, don't you?" but I got no answer. Can't he hear me?. Then suddenly, while Gin is finally walking away a crash was heard by the whole neighborhood. "GIIIN!," a desperate shout coming from afar was heard then suddenly Gin was out of my sight.

I woke up in the sound of an engine. It looks like they already came back. "Terry! Let's eat dinner!," my mom shouted. I went downstairs and walked to the kitchen. "Come sit, Terry," said mom as I took a sit beside her "So, anything happened while we were gone?," mom asked. Should I tell them about the envelope?. "Well, nothing spectacular happened," I answered as mom stared at me blankly. I was becoming uncomfortable at the way she stares to me so I diverted my attention to the food and began eating.

After eating I went back to my room to rest. I should've told them about the envelope, maybe they know something about it. I let out a sigh and went to the kitchen bringing the envelope. "Hey mom, Can I have a word with you?," I asked as mom turned around from the sink. Looks like she had been washing the dishes. "Sure Terry," mom said as she washed her hand covered with bubbles and faced me.

"What is it, dear?," mom asked as we sat. "Uh, this envelope was sent earlier and it is said that it is for me, so I opened it. It looks like a registration form from AU, what is AU anyway?," I explained as I gave her the envelope. She scanned it and opened the envelope. "You know, let's go to your grandma's house tomorrow and we'll talk about this," she said as she took the envelope and went upstairs.

Oh no,

she left the dishes to me.
