"Discovery"
/^\"Terry, we're here," mom said that made me woke up from the silent ride. I hopped out in our car as I sniffed the fresh air that surrounded this stunning environment. "Heey, look who it is! Terry, my beloved granddaughter!," I turned around as I heard that unyouthful voice. "Grandma!," I excitedly said as I ran toward to a beloved anile. "Oh goodness gracious! You've grown into a beautiful lady!," she said as she hugged me tightly. "How are you, dear?," grandma asked. "I'm so fine grandma," I replied showing a smile for assurance. "That's great!," grandma commented.
Grandma went to dad and mom then asked, "How are you, sweetbirds?", as my parents smiled. "We're okay, mom. For some time, nothing peculiar happened while we're there," mom explained. "Oh, really? How about you dear? How's work?," grandma asked to dad. Dad smiled and answered, "Everything's still the same since we came here". "Why don't we enter the house now? I already have the food prepared," grandma suggested which we all agreed to.
"So, what's the reason you came to visit me?," grandma asked in a serious tone. "Here," mom replied as she gave out the envelope she kept last night. "O-oh," grandma said being flustered. She took the envelope and opened it. She looks uneasy. "Why won't you sleep here for tonight? I think we have so much to talk about," grandma said as she gave me a look of assurance. "Sure mom, but my husband should come back home. He still have lots of work to do," mom replied as grandma nodded.
Grandma invited us in the kitchen to have some drinks as Dad left for his work. "Terry, you already know that you had amnesia, right?'" grandma said which made me to almost drop my drink because of the unexpected thing spoken. "U-uh, yes grandma," I replied feeling uneasy. "You also don't know about the powers we had inherited from our ancestors, right?," grandma said as I became confused. "Grandma, what are you even talking about? Are you into Marvel or something?," I asked filled with confusion which made my grandma laugh. Did an alien invasion happened here? "Mom?" I mouthed to mom as she just replied me with a smile.
"Okay, this is not a laughing matter," grandma said as she began to be serious. Okaaay?. "I'm going to tell you the history about—all of this," grandma said as she stood up and went out the kitchen. I turned to mom with a confused look. "Where is grandma going?," I asked. "She'll be back," mom replied. "What is grandma even talking about?," I asked. "Well, it's hard to explain but listen to your grandma later. She will tell you about our kind," mom replied with a genuine smile on her face. What?
"Okay Terry, listen carefully..," grandma started as she went back carrying an old book which is four fingers thick. That's a lot of history. "Thousands of years ago...," grandma started. As grandma is talking I heard some unfamiliar and familiar names. I felt something weird as grandma was talking, it's like I have been hypnotized by her talking. It sounded pleasant in my ears but suddenly, that weird feeling vanished. "That's impressive," mom suddenly commented. "What's impressive?," I turned and asked out of curiousity. Mom shook her head and said "Oh, nothing," then smiles. I turned my head back and continued listening to grandma.
As I listened to her, I found out that we came from a diverse clan. A clan which is led by my great grandfather, dad's granddfather. I also found out that our clan is the one that is highly respected by everyone. While listening, grandma suddenly talked about how mom and dad met and it is said that they met through the same school which I am invited to, Avilure University. It is said that they were formed as a team along with the other 3 of their close friends. Grandma also mentioned that my parents' team were the best among all teams. They also worked hard to defeat their colleague who walked in the wrong path.
More stories were unfolded by my grandma and mom, and as I was listening my mind suddenly began flashing things which I even haven't seen before. A boy facing me with his red ears suddenly flashed in my mind, which made my eyes blurred. Few hours later, grandma reached the end of the book and called it a night.
Hell.
