You decided to wait and allow whatever was hiding in the bushes to make the first move. The yellow eyes glowed eerily and seems to bob back and forth. In a mere moment, you find yourself pinned to ground by a furry figure. A pure black wolf its paw pressed against your throat. Your eyes widen in fear. The wolf raises it's free paw and brings it down with one swipe. It lobs a large mosquito off the top of your head and swallows it whole before you can realize what it just did. You sit and stare at the black wolf and it stares back at you, directly into your eyes. You feel as though it's piercing your soul with its stare. The wolf slowly makes its way toward you. You wait patiently to see what it does. The wolf comes within an inch of your face and for a moment, time seems to stop. Your eyes shut themselves as the wolf opens its mouth.
You feel a tender lick upon your cheek. Your eyes open and the wolf is sitting in front of you, an inch from your face, calmly breathing on you. Its tail is wagging quickly back and forth, creating a small dust cloud. You're completely surprised by the events that have just taken place. Congratulations, you have a new animal companion. Now that you're not caught up in the moment, you're able to examine the wolf more closely. You now notice that there's a patch of white fur on its side in the pattern of the black hand, a group of assassins that you've heard of from a strange, delirious traveller that found his way to your farm years before. You name the wolf _______ and get up off the ground. With a new companion, you have renewed courage, and charge headlong into the Faerie Forest.
