Echo and Max walk along the long cold pier in New York, electricity forming in the clouds threating to become lighting, ready to crash down anywhere. The wind howled throughout the city like a wolf howling at the moon. The cold ocean waves crashed against the wooden pier and the rocks underneath, causing water to flood the wooden pier.
'Everything looks so graceful in the dark' Echo gushed looking around at the scenery around her. 'Every think looks at peace' Max hummed in agreement looking around with her, their fingers intertwined, with each other.
'We should start to head back; its nearly sunrise and Margret must be worried sick by now' Inquired Max.
Echo and Max started to head through the streets of New York whispered spoke a deathly silence; they walked up to a beautiful Church, standing tall but out of sight in New York. Echo and Max, pushed open the heavy oak door that arches against the old marble walls, they walked into a candlelit room, the windows were covered not letting any natural light through. The doors shut behind them sending an echo through the empty room.
A woman dressed in high fashion walked through the door, worry radiated through her body with a hint of anger. 'Where have you been' she snapped at the two young vampires. 'It is almost daylight; you could have got yourself killed' her voice was cold as ice but with a sense of fret towards the young vampires.
'Sorry Margret we didn't mean to worry you' whimpered Echo her voice was gentle and soft, she bowed her head, eyes full of sorrow that begs forgiveness.
'Its fine, but next time text me I was worried sick to think what could have happened to you to if you were out any longer.' Confessed Margret.
Echo walked to an oak door that arched with a gold frame, she slowly grabbed to gold handle and twisted to open to her room. Candles dimly lighted Echo's room, her room had various beautiful items in it, one of which was a mirror that stood by the edge of the room, framed with a silver lining, and she slowly walked to her bed and collapsed on to it.
'Finally peace and quiet' she whispered under her breath.
The door carefully opened, Max stood at the door he gracefully walked over to Echo,
'Hey' he whispered as he lent down to kiss Echo 'you ok?'
He crawled on the bed towards her and brought her into a cuddle, she turned around to face him 'Yeah I'm good' Muttered Echo, Max slowly leant down to kiss Echo it was a slow quick kiss, 'Let's go to sleep' Whispered Max, Echo hummed in approval and pulled up the covers to sleep.
Margret stormed in a rage around the Church 'How could they be so stupid, to be out that late, it's probably Echo's fault letting Max out that late!' she sat down on the sofa in anger, she knew that Echo and Max were in a relationship, loved Max as a child.
'Calm down Margret, stop blaming Echo' Thomas said 'It's not her fault that you're jealous'
Margaret huffed 'Jealous of her, I'm just worried about Max that's all'
She got up from the sofa in a rage and walked to her room, she swung open the heavy oak door and slammed the door shut, her room was lit be candles brightly her room was painted bright purple her bed was queen sized with oak framing. She walked over to her bed and flopped on her bed in a rage.
'Who does she think she is' she muttered into her pillow
A knocking sound came from Margret's door
'Who is it?' She asked as she got up from her bed and brushed the creases from her dress, the door slowly turned and creaked opened, a tall figure walked through the doors.
'Hey, Maggie' the figure spoke gently.
'Hey Danny' She spoke softly, she walked up to him and pecked him on the lips, she slowly wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.
'So how have you been' he mumbled against her lips as he put his hands on his waist.
'Good' Margret mumbled 'We should get going the meeting is in five minutes' she let go of him and slowly walked to the door 'You are coming?' she grabbed the handle and walked down the corridor Danny followed along.
Echo woke up in the warmth of Max's arms; the candles blown, out wax pooled at the bottom.
'Hey' whispered Max 'we need to wake up, there's a meeting soon we are going to be late'.
Echo started to move her hair fell in front of her face messily; she hummed in an agreement and started to get ready. Max got out of bed slowly and ran his hands through his hair to fix it; Echo came out the bathroom with her hair put up in a bun.
'Ready to go' said Echo, Max nodded and followed Echo out the door and down the corridor, the corridor was long lit with dimmed oil lamps, the walls covered with old musty wallpaper that peels back. Photos of figures that once lived in the house hung up on the walls with gold framing. The stairs were old and creaking, the once red carpet now dark with age. The gold bannisters spiral down the stairs. Candle wax melted deep inside the carpet from overflowing wax.
The meeting hall, lit with oil lamps and candles everywhere. Walls going metres high with what used to be stain glass windows now black to allow no light in the hall. A long oak table sat in the middle of it with food and wine.
People started to flood in talking and muttering, everyone starts to sit down and wait for what was to come next. A middle age looking man dressed in red and black robes started to speak.
'It has come to our attention that, some of our own are being killed, we will not respond to this with violence instil we know who has done this. We must find the people who did this' the man spoke loudly.
People started to talk amongst themselves. One of their own, been killed; this has not happened for hundreds of years, there has been no bloodshed in the vampire community
'We can't just sit here and do nothing it's probably the werewolves who have done this Johnathan' a young man spoke 'What happens if they find us here'
'We can't just point and blame numbers have been at their lowest point in centuries we must at quick but accordingly' Johnathan sighed 'The meeting is over.' people start to go out the room talking amongst themselves trying to find out who done this and what other people think.
Margret, Danny, Echo and Max stay behind clearing the table and making sure everything is in order 'I'll go tell the other who couldn't make it' Danny stated 'They need to know I will spread the word'
Danny walked over to Margret and gave her a quick hug and a kiss goodbye
'Please be careful' Margret spoke, a worried tone could be sensed in her voice 'Come back alive'
Danny left to tell the others of the news to make sure their people knew how they must go into hiding and be careful. The meeting hall was now empty; all the vampires have gone into hiding, to make sure they do not die at the hands of others
'Who do you think did it' Asked Echo, the two other vampires, look and tries to think.
'Look, Johnathan is right we can't point the blame, but nothing like this has happened in years we have to be careful' Max state
Echo and Margret nodded in agreement and started to head out of the meeting hall. Vampires flooded the building; they were all scared of what was to come
