(so I know I made a Thanksgiving chapter last year, but I think this one will be way better than the previous.)
Thanksgiving with the boys was oddly enough a good one for the girls. Their fathers and grandfather had to wear the human watches but other than that, there were hardly any complaints.
Justin listened to old Japanese folklore from Splinter and Leo with L/d. He found the culture interesting and loved having a calm conversation with his girlfriend's family.
Austin watched football with Raph, Casey, and R/d. He found out that Raph and himself liked some of the same teams and when it came time for the Vikings vs Lions game, he and Raph were both cheering for the Vikings.
Marcus was in the kitchen with April, Donnie, and D/d. He was helping D/d make the dessert while April and Donnie finished up on some side dishes. He at one point wiped some icing on D/d nose and she returned the favor by smearing some on his cheek. April thought it was cute and Donnie found it amusing.
And finally we have Brian who was in deep conversation with Mikey over a new video game. Brian was telling him all about it and Mikey thought that his knowledge about the game seemed to be enough to put Brian on his good side. M/d thought this was just down right hilarious and was trying not to laugh.
All in all it was pretty great. That's when they all got around the table and started to eat.
"So boys, how old are all of you," April asked.
"Sixteen," Justin said.
"Seventeen," Austin and Brian said together.
"Eighteen in two days," Marcus said.
"Aren't you a Junior," Casey asked.
"I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Which needs to change soon if I'm going to get custody over my niece once my grandmother passes."
"Your niece," Donnie asked.
"Her parents and mine have passed away. My grandmother isn't in good health and the doctors said she might die soon. That means I'll be getting custody of Ally and more than likely I'll be adopting her."
"That's so sweet," April and M/d said at the same time. D/d smiled at Marcus before holding his hand under the table.
"Well that is a very chivalrous act young Marcus," Splinter said.
"Thank you Mr. Hamato."
"No need to call him that," R/d said. "You guys are getting along so well with our family why not just call him Grandpa Yoshi."
All of the girls shared a laugh and their dads all looked at Splinter with slight grins.
"Yeah. After all, you're already Grandpa to the girls," Raph continued to tease the old Japanese male.
"Watashi wa anata o kizutsukerudeshou," (I will hurt you) Splinter said to Raph. Said Mae gulped while his brothers laughed.
"Anata ni wa sore wa tōzendesu," (You deserve that) Leo said.
"Are they speaking Japanese?" Austin asked.
"Yeah," L/d told him while she sent a smirk at Justin.
"Watashi wa kore ga okoru koto o kitai shite imasendeshita," (I wasn't expecting this to happen) Justin said with a small grin.
Everyone except for L/d looked at him in shock. Meanwhile, said girl was smiling at her boyfriend with pride.
"How does he know?" Mikey asked.
"I taught him," L/d said with er smile eating bigger. "I thought it would surprise you guys."
"Well you were certainly right about that," Casey said with a small laugh. Everyone nodded and Leo ruffled his daughter's hair slightly.
When everyone was done eating, the girls all walked with their boyfriends to their respective homes. Meanwhile, the turtles and Splinter took off their watches and everyone started cleaning.
"Well? What did you guys think about spending time with your daughters' boyfriends?" April asked.
"They seem better than I originally thought. I wasn't expecting to hear Justin speak Japanese," Leo said as he handled he cups.
"I wasn't expecting Marcus to have a story like that," Donnie said as he picked up plates. "And D/d seemed to already know the story too. I think that's a very honorable thing to do for his niece."
"Austin has a great taste in football," Raph said as he picked up the plastic forks and threw them away. "I was expecting him to be a Cowboys fan but he actually liked the Vikings and I found out he was a baseball fan too."
"Brian gave me some pointers for that video game level I was stuck on," Mikey added as he picked up some empty pots. "I didn't think he would be that cool."
"So you're not gonna bug the girls about them anymore," Casey asked as he and April wiped down the table.
"I don't think so," the guys said with grins.
