--October 25th 2016--
My classes were cancelled today so I decided to take both the night and morning shift.
It'll take up my whole day but it's not like theirs anybody waiting for me when I get home.
"Hi! Welcome!" I bowed to the older couple who came in walking hand and hand.
I smiled as I secretly glanced at them having playful arguments and picking out little snacks.
They finished up and came to the cash."I hope you found everything you were looking for."
They nodded and the man paid. "Have a good day."
"You as well." The lady had said with her soft voice.
I wish I had a voice that sweet.
Nobody was in the store after a bit. I went ahead and pulled up the folding chair from under the cash register and sat down.
I sighed while pulling out my phone and playing my favourite mystery game, Cube Escape.
"Good afternoon." I heard someone say. I closed my phone and shot my head up to see that man again.
"Hi! Welcome!" I greeted as I usually do.
"How is your day going so far?" He asked politely as he picked out the things he wanted to buy.
Nobody was in the store but he still decided to raise his voice slightly so I could hear him from the distance.
"Nice, How's yours?"
I smiled brightly and watched while he looked threw the fridge.
"Better now that I'm here." He responded while he kept looking. He seemed confused.
"Are you having some trouble finding something?"
"Yeah. You know the chocolate milk that I get every time i'm here?"
Should I pretend like I don't know?
"Uh... yes. I think we ran out of stock today."
He pouted slightly and sighed, "Ok, I'll just make a call if you don't mind."
I nodded and tried to not over hear his call. I'm glad another person came inside asking for a pack of cigarettes.
"Hey they ran out of chocolate milk? Does she and Jungkook like caramel?"
"Have a great day sir!" The customer nodded uncaringly and walked out of the store.
She eh?
Leaving me and the man alone again. "Ok bye." He said before shutting the phone and grabbing a different kind of milk.
He came towards the cash, now with: 3 Caramel Milk Cartons and 4 Banana Milk Cartons.
"Im really sorry we ran out. I'm sure theirs going to be a full stock tomorrow."
He chuckled awkwardly while paying, "I don't think I'll be in Korea tomorrow."
Don't ask why , it's rude.
"Oh alright." He glanced up at me while placing his card password. I blushed slightly and smiled.
"But I'll be back soon."
He walked out of the store and I was left alone now.
My mom used to always say, never engage in conversations with a stranger... Does this count?
