The next day I checked in with Denise. She said things looked pretty well and it was healing exactly how she thought it would. That doesn't mean it didn't hurt. I could walk fine. I found twist my core at all.

"Why didn't any of this happen to Carl?"

"He's much bigger than you. It's like when you take medicine, the bigger you are the more you take. So the food didn't effect Carl as much. He said he did get stomach aches here and there but that's it."

"Oh. Yeah I am pretty short."

She laughed at that.

Walking out of the med cabinet I saw Carl. He was obviously waiting for me.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing. I just wanted to see how you are feeling."

"I'm fine. Better than ever."

"Coming from someone who can't fall asleep at night because of your bruises."

I stopped walking with him.

"How do you know that?"

"Over heard Glenn talking to my dad."
"No," I said looking down. "No actually I'm fine. Great. Just perfect."

"Why are you doing this? I'm the one that should be mad at you. But I'm not because I'm giving you a second chance."

"I'm not mad at all." Lie. I don't know why but I was I didn't want to see his face. I don't know why I just didn't.

He rolled his eyes and I started to walk away, before I could get tree feet he started speaking again.

"No actually Willow, I'm not using you to get rid of the thought of my mom. I actually liked you. But now you're just feeling bad for yourself because of your dad, and you're taking it out on other people."

Hell no.

I spun on my heel, and punched him straight across the face on his cheek, knocking him off balance. I looked at him sprawled in the grass.

"Asshole." I mumbled under my breath as I walked away.

I got home and walked up to my room. Maggie caught me in the hallway.

"Hey, you okay? You look like you saw a ghost."

"I'm fine. I just did something pretty bad."

"You want to talk about it? It's okay you're with me."

"Okay."

We sat at the small table in my room.

"So what's up?" She asked.

"I was pretty rude to Carl that one night we were coming back to Alexandria. And he was just talking about it, but then he said something pretty harsh...and"

"And...?"

"I punched him in the face."

She gasped with a surprised expression then laughed. "Well...I think you guys can work things out."

"I don't know I said some pretty bad stuff."

"Like what..? If you don't mind talking about it."

"It's fine. I said that he was only using me to cover up that fact of his dead mom. I felt horrible right after I said it." Lie.

"Willow, you can't say things like that. He does have a reason to be mad."

"He said he wasn't mad, he forgave me and I made it worse."

She got up from the table with me and put a hand on my shoulder. "You guys will work it out."

I smiled a fake smile back at her. Which made me look slightly constipated.

Before walking out she turned around. "Can I tell you something? You can't tell Glenn though alright?"

"Yeah sure"

She shut the door so that Glenn couldn't hear from downstairs.

"I'm pregnant." She said with a smile.

I gasp and smile a real smile. "Oh my god. Are you serious?"

She nods happily and pulls me in for a hug.

"When at you going to tell Glenn?"

"Tonight. Actually speaking of Glenn, he thinks he has a way to take care of the savoirs."

"Great. So when do we go over it?"

"Tomorrow. But for today I need help with the crops."

"Alright."

We headed downtown to the crops. They were growing well, very well. Maggie was pleased.

I spent the rest of the day helping people with odds and ends things.

Also avoiding Carl.
