Here is the next part. It's in Dakota's POV. Enjoy reading!
Chapter One
"I love you sweetie. Have a great day in your new school!" mom said as she gave me another one of her sloppy kisses.
"Love you too mom" I said through the mouthful of cereal I had just stuffed in my face. Yep, 'cause nothing shows love like a face full of cereal.
Dad had already left for work and dropped my younger brother, Ethan to his school. He would be going to the local middle school where as I would be venturing into the jungle more commonly know as high school. I had always been there when he had started all his other schools but today he was by himself and although he liked to act all grown up I knew he was really nervous.
Making my way upstairs to get ready for school I couldn't take my thoughts away from school. I just hoped I didn't embarrass myself or get lost. I opened the door to my room. It had warm brown walls and a super soft cream carpet that I loved the feel of. My comfy messy double bed faced me as I walked into my room and now as I stared at the crumpled sheets i just wanted to jump back into bed to sleep, but no, I mustn't give into temptation.
Opening my wardrobe I pulled out my black skinny jeans and loose short sleeved grey top along with my black elbow length blazer. Bringing my clothes to my bathroom and I had a quick shower before getting changed putting on a long gold necklace. I didn't want to put on too much make up so I just stuck with a bit of neutral eye-shadow and left it at that.
Running down stairs and grabbing my car keys I pulled open the front door and was welcomed by a lovely warm breeze and the sun's just starting to come up. I quickly hopped in my new Audi a3 and started the short ride to school. Now all I had to do was not get lost.

As I drove into the parking lot I couldn't help the overwhelming sense of dread. This place was huge! And I wasn't exactly known for my navigating skills.
Stepping out of my car I had quite a few people staring at me but that's what I get for starting term a month late. Making my way in through the tall and surprising clean front doors I looked around for the reception to get my schedule and a map of the school.
Following the helpful signs I started to walk down one of the many hallways off the entrance. As I turned around a corner I smashed into something rock hard and stumbled back a few steps, losing my balance I fall right on my ass. Great first day! I thought to myself.
As I looked up I saw a masculine hand grabbing at air until it dropped to the guys side like he wasn't sure were I was.
Getting up I was about to apologize when I looked up at who I had bumped into. Hot. That was all I could think. He had disheveled brown hair and a golden tan I was slightly jealous, but the thing that really caught my attention was his glasses. He was wearing these dark sunglasses that covered half his face. Weird. Then the sexist voice I had ever heard interrupted my thoughts.
"Watch were you're going." I couldn't believe what I had just heard. Did he really just say that! I had been about to apologize but he could forget about that now.
"Excuse me" I said, disbelieve evident in my voice.
"You heard me", he said and walked away leaving me to wonder if everyone in this school was so surly.
Deciding not to dwell on the bad on my first day of school I continued my quest to find the reception. Luckily enough all I had to do was look up and there it was. Writing in cap blocks on a glass door, the word RECEPTION.
Pushing the door open I was glad to see that there was no queue and the only other person in the room was an old lady behind the desk busily tapping away at her keyboard.
I walked up to her desk and as I approached she tore her head form the computer screen.
"How may I help you dear?" She had the cutest little British accent that made me smile a little. I'd always wanted to visit England.
"Hi, my names Dakota, I'm new here. I think I'm meant to get my class list here." I quickly introduced myself.
"Aah, yes. Dakota. I have it here somewhere... just give me a second" she told me as she started looking through some bundles on her desk. I looked around the small room as she was looking. It was a bland room with minimal decoration but was absolutely littered with stacks of papers. They were every where. Every flat surface seemed to be full of them. I vaguely felt sorry for the little old lady having so much clutter and work all around her as I watched her search. This place was a mess.
"Ah, here we are... Dakota Mora" she read smiling up at me as she shuffled her way back to were I stood.
"Yep that's me" I chirped.
"Any relation to the new Mora Motor's that's opening up down town?"
"The one and only" I smiled down at the cheerful lady.
"Well here's you're schedule and a map of the school. I hope you like it here darling. Oh and if you could get this signed by all of you're teachers and drop it back to me at three that would be great." She told me before sending me on my way with directions to my first class. She really was a sweet old lady.
My first class was homeroom. Well this would be boring. I hope the teachers nice anyway. My last one, Mrs. Roche had always brought in sweets randomly. I'd miss those gummy bears.
As I spotted the class room a head of me I noticed the arrogant guy from before go in the door in front of me. I heard him groan a little as he seemed to bump his shoulder against the door frame. This guy must have some seriously weird problem with bumping into people and things this morning.
Following him into the room I noticed the rest of the class had already shown up and the teacher was looking at something on his computer at the top of the room.
I walked up to the top of the room. I took a deep breath before I introduced myself.
"Hi I'm Dakota, the new student form New York." I said timidly.
"New student" he replied absently. "Oh, yes the new student!" Well this was going to be a long day.

As I hoped back into my car at the end of the day I thought back over everything that had happened. Everyone had seemed really nice apart from that mysterious boy from the morning. I met a really nice girl, Cindy, before lunch and she invited me to eat at her table for lunch. She had introduced me to her friends. They were nice but they seemed a little fake to me, though I was greatful that they let me sit with them at lunch. When I asked them about the guy with sunglasses and if he was always that mean they just told me that his name was Lucas he was weird, had problems and not to bother with him. Even though I didn't really like him I thought some of their comments were a bit uncalled for but decided not to say anything, for all I knew he was a complete jerk,
All my classes went by okay. None of the teachers made me stand in front of everyone and introduce myself. For that I was greatful. Most of the teachers seemed pretty relaxed but I had a few tough one's that seemed to pile on the homework. All in all I had a pretty good day and couldn't wait to get home and just relax and think about the week ahead. Plus it was Monday so mom would be cooking her famous chicken curry, yay!
