I looked up to her, again. This proposal has been planned for months now. And surprising her is the only thing I am sure that I accomplished tonight—so far. Cause looking at her now, trying to fight the tears while smiling and looking at the ring I am holding. Ewan ko ang tagal niya sumagot, and God knows how long have I been holding my breath.
“Yes, Kief. I will, I will marry you.”
And just by that I felt my tears rolling on my cheeks. Napaiyak na ako. I bent a little to wipe my tears. After a while isinuot ko na ang singsing sa daliri niya. Nanginginig pa ang mga kamay ko. Then I stood up.
“I will forever love you, I promise to make you the happiest wife alive. Ever!”
She pulls me for a kiss and I gladly took her sweet lips.
“I already am the happiest because of you, and I’m excited to be your wife. I love you so much.”
I never knew I can be happier now, I never knew a “yes” could make someone this happy.
“Woohhhhhh!!!!!”
Ok, I almost forgot that they are here. Our family and friends. I held Alyssa’s hand and raised it
“She said yes!!!”
All I can see are the genuine smile of these people. And off course Nay Lita and Mom’s teary eyes.
“Manong!! Matatapos na maliligayang araw mo!”
And Thirdy earned a good laughter.
“Paps madaliin na ang kasal bago matauhan si Ly!”
That was Von on his arms is Lau who is starting to show her baby bump na. Hay I can’t wait to see Ly like that.
“Sa wakas! Magkaka pamangkin na ako”
Dani beaming from ear to ear.
“Naku, anak kaagad? Grabe pwedeng pakasalan muna ako ng Manong mo?”
Alyssa said and pinch my cheeks.
“Siyempre naman. Pero siyempre rin kasunod na yun after ng wedding diba.”
She just gave me her sweetest smile and again I can’t help to kiss her sweet lips again. I am the luckiest man alive!.
