Unexpected Return

[Chloe POV]

"I heard they broke up"

"She's not good enough for him anyway"

"She's a real bitch, do you know that she almost killed me when I accidentally bang into her?"

"I'm glad they broke up"

Students were gossiping as I walk into the school with the girls.I was back to normal except that I'll avoid Taehyung as much as I can.

The only person that seems unusual nowadays is Cax, she's been really quiet lately and she hardly hang out with us.

"Cax...CAX" Soul suddenly screams, making Cax move into a defense position.

"Wh-What happen?" she stammered when Soul shot her a glare with her arms cross over her chest.

"What happen was you, zoning out on me again!" Soul is not in a good mode today.

"What's wrong, babe?" LD came over to hug his frustrated girlfriend.

"LD is so dead today!" Dex jokes, referring to Soul's bad mode.

"Soul got a point, we're your friends. You know you can tell us anything, right?" I held Cax hands and squeeze it slightly.

"I know..." she said as the bell rang and everyone was rushing off for lessons.

"So are you agreeing to my decision or not?" Soul is throwing a tantrum because I won't reply her.

"CHLOE!" She slaps my locker closed and stood in front of it.

"What?" I answer her lazily while yawning, she's been going on about the plan for Cax's upcoming birthday party.

"The party! The preparation! The gifts! The people attendi-"

"It can't be..." I cut her off when I spotted a familiar back figure rushing off when I turn to look at him.

"Can't be what?" I quickly took off after that figure but it was hopeless, he already left. I bit my lips, shaking my head as I walk back to find Soul.

"Who were you chasing after?" Soul's curiosity got the best of her when she saw me shaking my head in disappointment when I didn't catch the person's face.

"I don't know either..." I decided to shake it off and walk to the cafeteria, shivering when I felt a pair of eyes watching me.

"Chloe, you need to try this. It's freaking delicious" Jin said as he stuff another spoon of mash potato down his throat.

"Sure..." I sat beside Taehyung unwilling, seeing that there wasn't anymore seats. I quietly ate the food that my friends got for me.

"Chloe..." Taehyung whispered.

"Chloe....talk to me please..." he shake my right arm a little but I ignore him despite his perseverance. He got frustrated and cover my mouth with his hands.

"Ymm Fremmmhhh Ashmmh!" I gave him a half hearted glare and did the most unexpected thing.

"Eww" he shriek, returning his hand back to he's side. Yap, I lick his hand. He pouted while he wipe his hand with a clean tissue.

Those kissable lips, I swear something is wrong with me.

"Don't touch me next time, unless you want more of that" he smirks at my words.

"Don't worry babe, next time you'll be tasting here instead of my hands " he pointed to his lips.

"Dream on" I scoff.

"I'm already dreaming" He retorted playfully.

"Cax, is the food not nice?" I ask, showing some concern and probably to change the subject.

"He's back..." she muttered, eyes widening as she stare pass my shoulders.

"Who's back?" I turn to look but was stop by a pair of cold hands touching my shoulders, making me flinched.

"Miss me? Cupcakes" No, no, no....

It can't be......

"Mason..." It barely left my mouth as a whisper.

"Bingo, cupcakes. It sounds so sweet when you say my name" he said as he took a seat beside me.

"What are you doing here, aren't you suppose to be in the asylum where you belong?" Dex scoff at his words.

"I have to be here since my dearest girlfriend is here" Mason said, ignoring Dexter harsh words.

"Right? Cupcakes, babe?" Mason said as he sling his arm over my shoulders, pulling me closer to him.

"I'm not your girlfriend, Mason" I tried pushing him away from me but it didn't work, he's just too strong.

"Sure, whatever that helps you sleep at night" he kiss my cheek, holding me even tighter in his arms.

"Chloe? Care to introduce your friend?" Jin fake a cough.

"I'm Mason, Chloe's boyfriend" he introduce himself.

"He's just joking, he's not my boyfriend" I shake my hands quickly when they gave me weird looks.

"Corrections Ex-boyfriend and soon to be boyfriend again" Masom smirks. What is he up to? I could feel some tension in the air between Taehyung and Mason, this is not going well.

"Mason, let's talk. Meet me outside now" I spoke in a commanding voice and walk out, giving him no room to protest.

"Are we getting back together babe?" He ask in a playful tone when we were alone in the hallway.

"First of all, don't babe me. We are over, I've made it clear that I was just playing with you" I folded my arms.

"Oh darling, that's where you're wrong. I'll always get what I want especially since Mr Busybody is dead" He's talking about Rick.

"Nobody protecting you anymore but don't worry, I'll treat you like a princess" he ran one of his hands down my shoulder, making me shiver.

"If you don't obey me, bad things will happen and you won't like this at all. Don't forget, I know everything about you. All thanks to your little friend, she was scared out of her wits when I threaten her" he laugh evilly. That's why Cax was behaving weirdly, it all makes sense now.

"So princess, you know the deal. Yes or no?"

"Fine, you win"
