[Chloe POV]

Beep, beep, beep

I know this sound...

This is the the sound that stop when Rick died, the sound that I wanted to hear so that I know that he's alive. The reason why I hate the hospital, why am I here?

Mason...

He changed....

He's not the same guy I knew from before and it's my fault, I'm the reason he's like this. His feelings got too far during that time.

It's my fault that he hates me. He says he love me but he's lying, I'm only his punching bag now.

"Chloe, I don't know if you're listening but all I want to tell you is that I love you. Please wake up, I promise that I'll protect you from now onwards. It hurts me to see you lying on the hospital bed, not moving at all. After all, you're Ms Eagle right? I heard about it, the number of times you won a fight like nobody's business" A pair of hands was holding my hands in between, warming it up.

"Do you know? The first time we met, I knew you were different. The way you talk back to me, it was the first. The guys got interested in you the moment I told them about it and somehow I felt jealousy inside me, it's been long since I felt that feeling." his warm lips touch the back of my hands for a long time before leaving.

"People said I changed, all because of you. I feel jealous whenever I see you with a guy. I hate it when you cry especially when it's my fault. I hate it even more when I'm one of the reason of why you're lying on this bed. Please wake up, I miss you so much..." He tears fell on my face as he kiss my forehead.

"Please stay with me..." he whispered in my ears. Those words were exactly the same words I said to Rick...

*Flashback*

Bang

"Chloe!" Before I knew it, Rick was infront of me. He was shot, he took the bullet for me. I felt his blood drenching my shirt.

"Rick!" His heavy body was limping on top of mine. He fell to the floor as he was too heavy for me.

"I'm sorry Rick..." The girl whisper and took off, her voice sounded familiar.

"GET BACK HERE, I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU!" My shout echo through the place as I got ready to chase after her.

"Chloe, it's okay..." Rick hush me, pulling me back. His face was white like sheet as his head was on lap.

"Why did you do that?!" I cried as he let out a soft laughter. I took out my jacket and press it on his wound to stop the blood flowing but he pull my hand away.

"It's okay Chloe, I wanted to because I love you" his eyes slowly closing as he gave me a smile.

"No Rick, please stay with me" I cried even harder as I hold his head closer to me. Little did I know, that was the last time I get to hear him say those three words.

I cried even harder as they got him into a ambulance, the last time I saw him was at the hospital. His face was so pale yet he still look dashing as always but I didn't get to tell him that. He left before I could say I love you back but little did I know, someone was hurting even more than me.

*End Of Flashback*

"Chloe, wake up now...please....I'm sorry. I didn't know this would happen... If I did, I wouldn't have told him that you've change school, I wouldn't have told him anything. I guess I was jealous, you have boys all over you since we met." Cax, it's Cax...

"Even Rick... He was so into you, I lost it. I hated you at that point, I wanted you dead so badly. Rick and I was so in love before you appeared. The moment he started noticing you, it's like I totally disappeared. I guess I was just plain dumb." She love Rick?

"I'm the reason he's gone, I'm that girl. The girl who was meant to kill you..." Her voice came out barely as a whisper.

"Mason found out and he threatened me. He said that if I don't follow his orders, he will tell you. I guess I should have just told you even if we can't be friends anymore. I'm so sorry, Chloe..." What am I feeling? Betrayal for the fact that nobody told me about this? Hatred for Cax? Disgusted by the fact that Cax was the reason Rick died?
