After school that day, I went to the library. I saw Erica, my friend from school. Her sister, Elise, walked away before I could say hi. Oh well.

"Hey Erica!" I said while I began to walk over to her. She looked up from her book and then smiled at me.

"Oh hey Nicky. What are you doing here?" She asked nicely. She's normally a really sweet person and

"I'm actually not sure. I came to find something to take my mind off the Splitting." I said, anxiety building inside of me.

"Oh. Don't worry, I'm sure they will make the right choice." She said hopefully.

"I hope so. I have to go, bye Erica." I waved and smiled at her as I walked away.

After the library, I went to meet Gigi at the park. It was fall time so I was very excited to see all the orange and red leaves. I saw Gigi sitting on the bench patiently waiting. I snook up behind her and said, 'Boo!' She gave a little jump and then laughed.

"Did I scare you?" I said laughing.

"Yes! I was about to rip your face off, I didn't know who you were!" She couldn't stop laughing.

Gigi then told me that Jack hadn't come home after school. He always comes home right away. I didn't say it but I knew it was true. Jack is Bad. Poor Gigi is too nervous to see it. I wonder if that's the same with me.

Gigi slept over at my house that night. I felt bad. She was to scared to sleep alone. The comfort of knowing someone else is in the room was something I longed for. I never realized how much I wanted a my twin to be alive till now.
