This is dedicated to my best friend. She has made me laugh one too many times, she's made me smiled too much, and she's been really supportive when I've been at my worst. Katy's POV

"I think we burned this!" Alyssa giggled.

"It doesn't taste normal!" Jake added.

The chocolate cake tasted gross. Mainly like dirt, and it looks like dirt, too.

My finger hurt so bad when I used it, how could Ryan break my finger after I threw a football at his gut?! He deserved it!

I hope he knows hitting a girl is illegal.

"Katy?" Cassie asked in an annoyed tone, snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"Huh? What?"

"Are you thinking about someone? Someone special, maybe to my left," Cass winked. I looked to her left and saw Connor.

"No!" My eyes widened.

Connor was blushing, while everyone else were laughing.

I gave Cass a death glare, one that shows not to mess with me.

She quickly ducked away and finished her chocolate cake. I looked down and played with my chocolate cake, with my fork. I glanced up slightly, and noticed Connor was staring at me. I quickly looked down at my cake again.

I stayed calm and quiet, but I was dying to scream and have a giggle fit.

The rest of the day was boring! I hated it! Well, it is school, so what do you expect?

Only this and next year, then you're done, Katy.

I was now in the school parking lot, waiting for dad to pick me up.

"Katy!" Someone called. I looked behind me and saw Connor, jogging towards me.

I gulped. My heart beated a bit too fast, and I felt my cheeks burn.

"Hey," Connor smiled.

"Hi," I breathed.

It was quiet for a few seconds. This is awkward.

"Come here," Connor told me, taking my hand and started walking outside of the parking lot.

"Where are we going?" I questioned.

"I want to take you somewhere."

"That's so original," I muttered.

I saw Connor roll his eyes. What a dick.
