I looked at the ticking clock on the wall that now read 2:10. Only five more minutes to get out of the math test that had half of the class crazy. I had finished the test about 15 minutes ago and right now all I wanted was to get out of class and go home.
I looked over to my best friend, Alexa; she still had the exam. She was very cautious in everything that she did although sometimes she took incredible risks. For example, for her swimming meets she swam the worst events and didn't care cause for her, they were easy or light. She had long wavy black hair that ended in thick curls so every time she swam she looked like a real mermaid, no kidding.
I looked to my other side and saw my other best friend, Elyssa. She was asleep. Elyssa was the complete opposite of Alexa; she was a real party girl and was full of surprises. She was also hyper which in my opinion was a good thing when it came to her hobby, tae kwon do. She loved to kick ass. She had short dark brown hair which she sometimes dyed black.
Then there was me... I was more of an in between version of both of them. I had medium length blonde hair and I was a dancer and at the time, captain cheerleader. But don't get me wrong, you know that in movies cheerleaders are always the popular girls in school and they are the hottest and go out with the cutest guys in school? WRONG! Not in this world, here I was noticeable but I was nowhere near being popular and the closest I had been to a boy were my dance partners.
Those were us; we were completely different but the only thing that we actually had in common was the history we had with the seniors. This is where our story starts. A few years ago when we were freshmen we fell for 3 sophomores. It's a pretty long story actually but to go straight to the point they were among the toughest guys of the school. They were real bad boys, who got into trouble, partied every weekend, and knew what they were doing. We, of course, having no idea what we got into, fell for them. I do admit we did make some mistakes like believing that in the end everything would work out like in the movies but well who can blame us, we were young and to be sincere we had no damn clue of what we were doing. We had never had a boyfriend before so you kind of get the idea where I'm going with this! They of course took advantage of that and time after time we had to learn to think fast, be dirty minded, and be aware and expecting anything at any moment. And now here we were in junior year...
Suddenly the dismissal bell rang bringing me back to reality. I stood up and grabbed my book bag.
"Period's over?" Elyssa asked as she waked up from her heavy slumber.
"Yes, wake up sleepy head. Alexa's mom is outside" I said as I handed her the jacket that was on the floor.
We were leaving with Alexa's mother. Tonight was the homecoming dance and well we had big goals for the night but we never expected what was coming.
"Ok so how about we leave at 7:30 and we arrive fashionably late to the party?" Alexa asked as we were getting our books on the big lockers. To our luck our lockers were right next to each other.
"Sure but we need to start getting ready about 2 hours before if we want to make an impression" I said grabbing my English novel.
"Sounds good to me but first, let's eat. I'm starving" Elyssa said as she slammed the locker door. Alexa and I chuckled as we walked out to the school entrance.
We hoped in the car and went to Alexa's place. After a couple of hours of eating and talking we started getting ready. By the end of the preparation there were 3 figures standing in front of the mirror. I wore a short, loose black skirt with a loose, red one shoulder top and red heels. Elyssa wore black, evening shorts with a blue, loose spaghetti strap top that had scattered sparkles on it and black heels. Alexa had a loose, yellow long sleeve top and a short, black and a bit tight skirt and black heels as well. We all let our hair loose and natural. Not to brag but we did look pretty, we weren't ugly or weird looking actually. We were really cute and beautiful only that only few guys noticed and the ones that did weren't the ones we had our eyes on.
