The Monday morning after the tournament I was at my history class doing some papers with the girls since our teacher was absent and we were left with a substitute. I liked this class, it was the only class in which we could have diverse opinions about different things and it wouldn't be wrong. Suddenly the bell rang and I picked up my stuff and went outside.

"So my mom said we could stay alone in the apartment for the weekend and she'd stay on my grandma's" Alexa said as she caught up with me and Elyssa in the hallway.

"That's great, finally a weekend off without school or boys or any trouble" I said with a sigh.

"Hey what do we have now?" Elyssa asked.

"French; for you Italian" Alexa groaned. It's not that we didn't like French in fact I loved it sounded so très romantique. Our teacher, though, was another story. She was really childish and she often got called by her even weirder husband and she spent half the class talking on the phone about I don't wanna know what. Lucky for Elyssa, she took Italian.

"Oh yay" she said sarcastically "so Alexa, what should I pack for this weekend?"

"I'll give you a list"

"It will be really nice to get a weekend off all our troubles. No troubles or problems" Elyssa sighed.

"Yeah, and no boys" I added as we were walking on the hallway when suddenly...

"Lance! Did you do the Spanish paper?" Giorgio, a guy from their crew said as he crossed right in between me and the girls. Giorgio was the complete opposite of Lance; he was a tall colored guy with a very ready beach body and was very athletic. I discretely looked back and saw Lance behind us or well at least he was. He stopped to talk to Giorgio but before he did he looked at me with those eyes, those incredibly unique eyes. I thought for a moment...

"How long was Lance behind us?" I whispered.

"I don't know, why?" Elyssa replied as she shrugged her shoulders.

"Do you think he heard about Seaside?"

"Don't think so, maybe he was there a few seconds and that's it" Alexa added.

I nodded and headed to class but I still kept thinking about before. What if he had heard? I mean hopefully Lance isn't stupid enough to appear at Seaside... Right?

The rest of the week was a breeze and in a matter of days I found myself sitting in Spanish class waiting for the dismissal bell. I wanted to get the hell out of there and get to Seaside. Seaside was the best coastal retreat. It was a bunch of apartments, pools, and a huge beach right next to the Sea Resort. It was going to be great to just get a break from everything and everyone; I mean don't get me wrong I like hanging with a lot of people but sometimes I focus so much on other people and their problems that I forget my own. Suddenly the bell rang... FINALLY!

I grabbed my stuff and went to my locker to leave my books there. NO HOMEWORK FOR ME THIS WEEKEND! I met up with the girls up front and left. We had left our huge bags on Alexa's car this morning so we were ready to leave. The way there was quick; we had been talking about how we wanted our weekend to be and all that. After about an hour we arrived and headed upstairs to unpack. The apartment had three bedrooms but we decided it would be more fun to choose the largest and throw two mattresses on the floor and sleep there. It was around 8:30 in the night; we had already ate and unpacked everything.

"What should we do now?" Elyssa asked as she threw herself on the mattress.

"Want to go for a swim?" Alexa smirked.

Elyssa agreed as she threw her hand in the air and gave Alexa a thumbs up. We looked for our bathing suits and got dressed. I wore a black bathing suit with sparkles, Alexa's was red with some flowers, and Elyssa's was green with stripes. We put on some shorts and flip flops and headed out the door. We went down the stairs and arrived at the area's pool; there was no one there. We left our stuff on a table and went in the water. It was relaxing to just feel the silence of the night and the water below us.
