"Stop it~" You chuckled, retracting your feet from under the table after a casual game of footsies. "You're going to get scuff marks on my shoes."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I wouldn't want to ruin your twenty million dollar footwear." Aron smirked as he turned his attention back to finishing the food in front of him.
"For your information, these shoes were only twenty bucks." You stated factually. You had already ate your meal, so you were simply bugging him until his was over.
"Wow, living like a commoner for a day, I see?" He continued to tease, picking up the last piece of steak in your mouth. Rolling your eyes, you pulled out your phone that was previously tucked away in your back pocket.
Once your eyes landed on the time, your face contorted into a weird expression. Or, that's what you assumed since Aron glanced at you like you were crazy.
"You okay there?" He questioned, allowing his fork to fall into the plate in front of him.
"I should probably get home soon." He nodded, taking off his cap in order to run his fingers through his hair.
"Right, you have a thing to do tonight. It's really a shame. There's this really cool skating rink I wanted to bring you to. I mean, you could still come if you rain check your friends."
"As inciting it is to see you fall onto your ass while skating, I'll have to pass." Aron let out a puff of air and slumped in his seat.
"But, I'll grace you with my presence for the correct amount of time to drive me home." The singer rolled his eyes as he raised his arm, calling over the owner of the diner.
"Janet, can we have the check?" He asked, looking at the blonde women who had just tucked her notepad into her apron.
"Sure thing." Her blue orbs examined the contents left on the table before a lazy smile appeared on her lips. "What? No dessert? I'm shocked, Aron." Yet, as she teased, Janet began cleaning the table in front of her.
"Yeah, yeah." Aron waved her off whilst rolling his eyes. The older female only chuckled as she walked away with the dishes.
After the meal was paid for, Aron began to lead you out of the diner when Candy caught him by the arm.
"Are you leaving?" She sounded even more bubbly than earlier, and judging on the way she acted after one of the children she was waiting on spilled their alphabet soup on her, you highly doubt that was possible. Aron's slight nod was enough for Candy to tight her grip, twisted her bubblegum pink coated lips into a pout. "Aw, c'mon. So soon?"
"Candy, I have to take y/n home." Aron mumbled. You face seemed void of all emotion as you watched this exchange, still not quite sure why her underlying intentions bugged you so much.
"Before you go, can I talk to you really quickly in the back room? Please?" Aron glanced over to you for a second, as if he was trying to read your non-existent expression. "It's super important." With a sigh, Aron agreed to speak to her.
"You want to wait in the car, y/n?" Aron reached into his pocket with his free arm and pulled out the keys, offering them to you.
"Yeah, sure." You quickly nodded, taking the keys from his hand and walking out of the diner. You got into Aron's temporary car and watched as the green numbers of the clock slowly changed. The concert started in less than two hours. During this time, you wouldn't help but wonder what was happening in there.
Four minutes passed until Aron emerged from Little Spice, small tufts of hair peeked out from his cap that were not there before, as if he placed it on in a hurry.
