I set up my own boarding school . The name of it is Grianan , Boarding school , Kilkenny . There was going to be nine children coming today . They were going to be the first new residents . I went to the gate and waited for the first child . A Jack Russell child and a Jack Russell mother came to the gate . "Can I leave this chap off" she asked . "Of course" I replied . I was doing my extreme best to hold in my excitement . "Thank you , here's my number" she said as she gave it to me . She smiled as she walked away . A Yorkshire Terrier toddler and her mother came to the gate . "Ok guys , can ye just line up against the big wall please" I asked politely . They did so but they were very silent . A English Retriever child came in and I told him to line up too . A Jack Russell toddler , a West Highland Terrier child and Mini Alsation baby came in . I held the mini alsation in my arms . Her mother said her name was Nelly . The Jack Russell toddler and the West Highland Terrier child lined up too . Another Jack Russell child came in . Last but not least , a cat child and a cat teenager came in . "Ok , lets go to the Assembly room" I said . They followed me to the room and they all sat down on the beanbags . I put Nelly on a beanbag near me . "Hey" I greeted them all . "Hi" they said in unison . "Ok guys , I'm gonna need your names and ages" I said . "Lets start here" I said pointing to Nelly . "This is Nelly , she is one years old" I continued . "Ok , when I point to ye , just shout your name and age" I said confidently . I pointed to the cat child . "Purry , Ten years old" he said . I pointed to the Jack Russell toddler . "Ernie , Two years old" he replied . I pointed to the Miniature Yorkshire Terrier toddler . "Roxy , Two years old" . "Peanut , Fifteen years old" the teenager cat said . The West Highland Terrier child said her name was Rose and she was nine years old . The Jack Russell child said his name was Buddy . He was six years old . I pointed to the English Retriever child . "I'm Freckles and I'm twelve years old" he said . The other Jack Russell child said his name was Tiny and he was ten years old . "Brilliant , thanks guys" I thanked them as I wrote down the details on a page . I put it into my pocket so I could copy it onto my laptop later . "I'll show you around the place" I said as I got everyone into a line . I put Nelly on the ground and she just crawled around . "Ok guys , when we go anywhere , you will be in threes , so Roxy , Tiny and Ernie line up here" I told them . They did so . "Tiny , since you're the oldest , you can be the leader of your group" I said . "Ok" he replied proudly . "Rose , Buddy and Nelly , you're behind Tiny's group" I continued . "Rose , you're the oldest in this group , so you can lead" "Peanut , Purry and Freckles are behind Rose's group" . "Peanut can lead the group" I said . "Yay" she cheered punching the air . "Now , the groups will change in the next term so don't fret" I said . Roxy sighed with relief . I showed them their bedrooms and kitchen , playroom , grounds , classrooms , sitting room and the other rooms . My phone rang and it was Cathy from the office . She's my secetery . "Hey , the post man came and left the journals and timetables on the desk" she informed me . "Thanks Ca" I said as we walked to the office and I got the things . We went to the kitchen to have lunch first . "You all have seating places as well , everything is really structured , disciplined and organised" I explained . "Ok" they replied. They stood by the wall . The table was a circle shape so the children couldn't leave anyone out really . I sat Nelly at the top of the table . "Ok guys , when I call your names , just sit in that order" . "Buddy , Ernie , Roxy , Peanut , Freckles , Purry , Tiny and Rose" . They all sat down and opened their lunch boxes . I sat beside Nelly and spoon fed her . I went to join my secatary . I joined the children again . "Follow me , guys" I told them . I led them to the assembly hall and they all sat down in their places . I gave out their timetables . Then , i gave out the journals . Everyone looked through it and they looked a bit confused . "I don't know" I heard Roxy say . "I'll help ye" I replied with a smile . They smiled too . "Ok , in the front of your journals , it says to put your names , grade and your parents contact details" I instructed them . "Can I have a pen , please" asked Peanut . "Course you can" I replied . I gave one of my pens to her . She smiled . "Now , write the date , you got the journals" I said as I filled in Nelly's details . "What date is it" Buddy asked . "7 of November" I replied . "Has everyone got that done" I replied finally . "Ye" they said in unison . "The history of Grianan is on page 2 . This used to be a riding school so the core sport is equestrian things . There are other sports too though" I explained . "Any questions" I enquired . Buddy , Rose , Peanut and Ernie put up their paws . I chose Peanut first . "Where is the stables" she asked . "They got moved to Vinesgrove" I replied . I then picked Ernie . "Where is the riding " he asked . "In Vinesgrove" I answered . "How will we get there" asked Rose . "What other sports do you do" Buddy asked . "We do soccer , hurling/camogie , some MMA , hockey , basketball , rugby , golf and athlethics" I replied . They cheered when I mentioned MMA , hurling and rugby . "There are awards during each year, like who has the best handwriting , best maths skills , sports awards , music awards , and there will be a talent show" I continued . "The map of the school Is on page 4 , ye will have mass on the 19th of December and a concert on the 21st of December" I said. "Any questions" I asked . Roxy put up her paw . "Ye" I acknowledged her . "What do we do on the weekend and holidays" she asked . "Well , you can stay over the weekend and/or holidays or go home" I explained . Peanut put up her paw . "How will our parents know" she asked in a bit of a panic . "Don't worry I will ring them and tell them" I replied . Peanut relaxed . "The rules are on pages 10 to 19" I said . They all gasped when I said the word rules . I smiled . "You'll get you're uniforms tomorrow" I explained . "What colour are our uniforms" Purry asked . "Boys wear a grey shirt and blue pants and girls wear a white shirt and blue skirt" I replied . "Your PE clothes are blue and you can wear your own tracksuit bottoms" . I continued . Just then , the dinner bell rang . "Oh ok guys , dinner" I announced . They all got up and followed me in a line .Just then , the dinner bell rang . "They took their places . "Rose, can you help set the table please" I asked . She did what I said and I went to the kitchen . I cooked a fry up . I gave it to them and they ate well . I asked them to wash up their plates but I washed Roxy's , Nelly's , and Ernie's plates . I led them to the sitting room and turned on the Tv for them . "Its mine" screamed Buddy . "Mine" screamed Purry . "Tell you what, why don't ye all take turns" I intervened . "How" Peanut piped up . "Every evening we can pull names out of a hat" I replied . "Ye" they said in unison . I smiled in unison . I got a cap and paper from the office . I came back and told them to write their names on it . They did so and I shuffled the pieces of paper . I pulled out a piece and unfolded it . "Freckles" I announced . He looked shocked . We all watched the TV for a while . "Come on guys , we will go to theassembly hall and I'll tell you what's on tomorrow" I said . They followed me and sat down . "So tomorrow , you will all go to your classes . At lunch , we will do some athlethics training . Then after your classes , we will do some competitions and I'll field you" I explained . "I will give you the lights out times for everyone per age" I continued . Everyone sat up at that . "Nelly will have a nap at 2:00 after lunch and at night , her lights will be off at 8:00pm. Roxy will have a nap at 3:00pm and at night her lights will be off at 9:00pm , same with Ernie . Buddy , you will have lights out at 9:00 too . Freckles, you will have lights out at10:00pm . Rose , you will have yours out at 9:00 and Peanut can have yours ou tat 11:00 . Same with Purry " I finally stopped .
Roxy , Nelly , Ernie , Buddy , Rose , Freckles went to bed . "Oh , Tiny , sorry I forgot about you" I apologised . He snorted . "You can have lights out at 10:00" I said . He went up . Purry and Peanut stayed . I made them some toast . I led them to bed and they all went to sleep very quickly . I did a round of the rooms before I went to sleep. "Freckles , lights out please" I called because I saw his light on through the top window . He turned it off . I checked on Tiny and he was asleep. Everything was good . I went to bed then and dreamt about tomorrow .
