Danny's POV
I close my luggage and sit in my bed with a sigh of relief, I look around my bedroom for a last look at my stuff before I go. I lie down and put my hand in front of my face.
"Is this a good idea?" I told myself.
"It is, this 'Gravity Falls' place sounds like a great place to start the summer."
A knock at my door echoed around my room, I get up and watch as my sister comes inside.
"Hey Danny" she said with a soft quiet voice.
"Shouldn't you be packing to?" Jazz, my older sister, had agreed to go on a camping trip with my parents for the weekend.
"Nah, they moved the date to next weekend" she sat on my bed and looked over at me.
"Oh ok." I said while I looked at my hands twiddling my thumbs.
"Danny it's not gonna be the same with you gone, are you sure you'll be alright? You just learned a new move and it's really dangerous, there won't be anyone in gravity falls you can talk about it to." I looked and made printed a fake smile on my face.
"I'll be fine Jazz! Come on there's a lot of forest where i'll be! It's be great alone time!" She had a small smile and left the room.
The smile faded and I saw the bus with 'Gravity Falls' printed on the top pull up close to my house. I grabbed my bags and went downstairs to see my family waiting for me.
"Well Danny I hope you have a great time there! And be safe" my mom had said holding back tears, my dad had hugged me and said the same thing my mom said and watched as I left the house and waved goodbye. "Bye guys I love you!" I said as I boarded the bus, I waited for it to get dark to pull out my map and pick up my stuff without the driver looking, I was the only one on the bus, there was a few people before but they got off to realize they were on the wrong bus.
I waited for the bus driver to look away from the mirror and carefully phase through the chair and fly away.
I floated high in the sky and stretched.
"Ah... man if I had to sit in that bus for any longer I would've lost my mind! And this way it's a lot faster." I spot the shack and land carefully in the back making sure no eyes spot me.
I walk up to the front of the broken building and knock and wait until I hear little footsteps running up to the door.
A little girl in a large purple shirt opens the door and rubs her eyes.
"Hi! I'm Mabel, sorry it's just you came so early." She said mid yawn.
"Oh I'm sorry my bus just now got here, I'm Danny it's nice to meet you."
She reaches over to shake my hand when a little boy about the same age comes by all wide awake and dressed greets me to.
"Hello, you must be Danny the new co worker? Your room is upstairs to the left, when your done unpacking come down and start working." He said with a faint smile.
"Ugh Dipper! He's been traveling all night! Let him sleep!" She said with a tone in her voice.
"Ok fine" he chuckled and softly punched Mabel.
Suddenly I felt drained. "Um excuse me I'll just go unpack."
I quickly got up to my small room with little space and dropped my bag and sat on my bed.
Looking at my hands I see a faint red glow radiate from my hands.
I need to get out of here NOW.
