Dani's POV (short)
I lied on the bed with Danny sleeping on the couch.
I had bandages all over my body and the only comfort I got was when I smelt my hand.
Mabel had lotion on...
I didn't know much about her, but for Danny to show her our secret she must be able to be trusted.
I tapped on the wall a couple of times and stared out the window all night, the sun arose like a flower blooming in the early spring, the dew started to coat the grass and windows like a soft blanket of water.
And yet, when this beautiful view, I only thought of one thing.
Mabel.
I was about to drift off when I hear someone replying to my tapping there was a little hole in the wall and I heard a small faint voice.
"Dani...?" It was Mabel, I got up carefully and pressed against the hole.
"Yea it's me. Why aren't you asleep yet?" I whispered watching Danny.
"I couldn't sleep, I wanted to make sure you're ok, so are you ok?" She was the only other person who asked me how I was.
"I'm fine, sorry about crushing your hand... I don't know my own strength sometimes..." I thought she was quite mad at me.
"Heheh I'm not mad! I'm just glad your ok." I heard movement from the other side.
"Mabel?" That was someone else's voice, "who are you talking to?" I didn't make much movement either.
"Oh nothing go back to sleep!" Mabel whispered nervously.
The movement stopped and we waited a good three minutes to talk again.
"Heheh let's just go to sleep." She whimpered.
"Yea ok." I said backing away front the hole and back into the bed covers.
She seems really nice.
I was able to fall asleep and the next morning I woke up to Mabel on the edge of my bed holding a tray.
"Oh hey Mabel, what is all this?" I looked down and saw; eggs, bacon, soup, hot tea, toast, and medicine.
"You're probably gonna stay in here for a day more before Danny can think of something so I brought you something to eat!" She smiled and offered me the tray.
I took it from her and snickered, "thanks Mabel it looks great." I took the bowl of soup and a plastic spoon and took a sip of it.
It was warm and delicious, it wasn't to hot either so that's good!
"Mm! Thanks Mabel this is great." I kept eating till I froze for a bit.
"What's wrong?" Mabel looked worried, "I think I'm sick..." I let out a tiny sneeze but accidentally blasted the window leading to a loud crash.
Mabel jolted up and looked outside of Danny's room.
"Mabel! Are you ok?!" A boys voice yelled trying to barge into the room, Mabel tried extremely hard to keep the door closed but he seemed more powerful then her.
"Something blasted the window! I was outside when it happened and it also hit a row a trees! Are you ok? Let me in!" I quietly got up carefully and just tapped the door which ended up closing it all the way like his strength was nothing.
I heard him hit the floor and moan in pain.
"Jeeze Mabel when did you become so strong?!" The distant voice said.
Mabel looked at me with a scared look, I was nervous, was she... scared of me...?
Her hands trembled and her eyes where filled with fear.
"M-Mabel...?" She didn't respond for a minute, the worst minute of my life.
She took a deep breath and mumbled.
"H-how did you d-do that?!" She backed away from me slowly.
"I-I'm strong remember...?"
She just stood there...
Danny's POV
I wondered around the house looking for something that would not only answer all my questions but would help Dani in the long run.
I eventually ran into Dipper who had been wandering outside for a few hours collecting stuff.
He saw me and ran up to me after closing his bright red journal.
"Hey! Danny the machines fixed! Wanna see what happened?" I couldn't answer truthfully obviously!
"Oh I uh have to go do something." I said that and ran without a second thought, without knowing Dipper was close ahead.
"Danny wait!" I heard his voice drawing near.
I hid behind a tree and went invisible, Dipper walked right in front of me and beside me.
"Danny hey wait u-!" He froze, "Where did Danny go... he couldn't have ran that quickly I saw him hide behind this tree!
Right before he left a blast from my window blasted the first few trees right in front of me.
Dipper ran inside and I transformed and flew into the window still invisible to see Mabel struggling to close the door until Dani got up and closed it.
Dani and Mabel were mumbling something, but Mabel started to back away.
Wait...why is Mabel scared...?
Then Dani without warning just... hugged her.
