Jesse bolted upright, gasping for breath.

"It was just a dream... a nightmare..." Jesse whispered to herself.

She heard a knock at her door.

"Jesse?"  It was Lukas. "Is something wrong? Can I come in?"

"Yeah. Sure"

Lukas opened the door, his face looked worried. His hair was messy from sleep, and he was in his pajamas. He rubbed his eyes.

Lukas sat down next to Jesse on her bed  and turned on the light.

Apparently she was crying in her sleep.

"What's wrong?" He asked, his voice calm.

"I- I.." she said, trailing on.

"Come on, Jesse . You can tell me." They gazed into each other's eyes. Lukas noticed that the usual Beautiful, Happy glow in her eyes were gone. Something was definitely wrong.

" I had a dream- a nightmare. Reuben was there and..." she sniffled. "and the Wither Storm and SkyCity, and the- The White Pumpkin, and PAMA and Spleef and Adrian, and- and- I thought I lost you..."

Jesse rested her head on Lukas' chest. He looked down at her.  Tears were rolling down her face.

"H- hey, hey, it's alright. I'm here. Everything's Okay." Lukas said, reassuring her. He put his arm around her

"Its- It's just because of Reuben he was there and I miss him so so much. And then I thought I  lost you, that you were dead..."

Lukas was surprised at how much she cared about him. Yeah sure, they're good friends and all, but the thought that she was devastated at losing both Reuben and him made him feel... something special inside.  Did she have feelings for him? He had feelings for her, but he never thought she would be the same to him.

"Jesse, it's alright. He was a good pig. Reuben was- is your best friend. It'd not easy to lose someone that close..."

"Is...?"

"Yeah. He may be gone, but  no matter how far apart you two are, you will always be best friends." He put his hand over her heart. "He'll always be in your heart."

She put her hand over his.

"Heh..Yeah, maybe your right, Lukas"

They hugged.

"Thanks for being there for me, Lukas"

"No Problem, Jesse"

"Um...Hey Lukas?"

"Yeah Jesse?"

"Um... nevermind. .."

"Come on, Jesse. You can trust me. Tell me."

Jesse sighed.

"I- I like you.."

Lukas blushed, although he kind of knew the whole time.

"Heh, I like you too."

"Um really? I mean like... I love you..."

"Yes, I know that."

"Oh..."

Jesse looked at him. Lukas looked at her. They smiled.

"Hey, um. Jesse?"

"Yeah Lukas?"

"Since we both like each other, I was wondering if, I don't know, You could be my girlfriend?

Jesse gasped happily.

"Yes, Lukas! Yes!" She exlaimed, hugging him.

"Well then," Lukas said, getting up, "I'll head to bed now."

"Hey Lukas?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you um.. stay here? I'm still kinda scared I will get another nightmare..."

"Sure." Lukas said, walking back to her bed. He turned off the light.

"Goodnight, Jess." Lukas said, kissing her on the forehead.

'Jess..' Jesse thought, 'I like that...My own nickname from Lukas..'

They both lay down, and Lukas put an arm around Jesse
