Chapter II

Steven's POV

"We have just arrived on planet Earth.", said the computer. We finally arrived on Earth, I can't wait to see the gems! They're probably so worried..... He imagined the gems without him, Pearl was probably locked in her room, thinking about him, and probably with Lion. Garnet was probably unfused, and Ruby and Sapphire would be fighting with each other. Amethyst was probably doing the same thing as Pearl, but she probably wouldn't be with Lion.....

* Emerald, Pearl, and Steven landed on Earth *

Emerald's POV

As we landed on the Earth, I noticed how beautiful it was, the water on the beach reflected a greenish blue, the colors on the beach reminded her of her friend Aquamarine. She risked her life for the rebellion, she was the one who started it all, the one who shouted "Shatter the Diamond Authority!" But, unfortunately, she died. Why do I care about this, she was the one who decided to risk her life..... But if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have joined this rebellion, and I wouldn't have met Ja---

*Emerald dodged a flying piece of metal *

Peridot's POV

"Lapis! Lapis!", I said trying to get her attention. "What do you want Peridot?", she asked. "Look, there's a homeworld ship, maybe they know that the gems left trying to find Steven in space, and they're trying to activate the Cluster!" I said as fast as I could. "Woah, slow down. What did you say again?", she asked me. "I said that a homeworld ship is coming, it's in the sky.", I replied. "Where?!" I glared at her, but I couldn't be mad at her, she was my lapiboo. "Look at the sky, Lapis...." I continued to glare at her. "Oh.....", she said back to me. "We should probably go and defend the Temple since the Crystal Gems aren't here.", she suggested. "I agree, let's go defend the temple.... but do you think there will be any huge and powerful Quartz gems there?", I asked almost sounding frightened. "Nothing that I can't handle! I'll always protect you, my space dorito!", she said as she was smirking. After she said that I started blushing, and she did too.

We eventually got to the temple after taking care of some..... stuff...... anyways, after we got to the temple, we saw that the gems were getting out of their spaceship, and I immediately threw a piece of metal, at an..... Emerald....... wait a second, I know that Emerald!

I got out of the house and ran to her. "Emerald!", I shouted. "Peridot?", she asked in a very surprised voice. "What are you doing here? And where are your limb enhancers?", she asked once again surprised and confused. "Well.... let's just say that I lost them...", I replied. "Lapis, where are the gems?", Steven asked Lapis. "They went looking for you in space, perhaps they're on homeworld. They said that they wouldn't come back until they've found you...." she said sadly. "But we can tell them to come back!", she said in a happier tone. "Oh thank stars, you almost scared me there.", he said relieved. "Well we are going to stay here until they come back because we need to negotiate with them." said the new Pearl. "Emerald, I didn't know you had a Pearl?!" Immediately after I said that, Pearl started to glare at me. "I don't belong to anyone, and for you information me and Emerald are a part of the Second Rebellion.", she said in a very salty tone. "Wait what?!" "We were sent to ask the leader of the Crystal Gems for help.", said Emerald. "Alright, can you please explain?", Lapis asked. "Steven, you are going to have to stay outside, this is important gem business that you shouldn't know about.", Lapis told Steven. "Alright.....", he said, seeming a bit sad.

Steven's POV

I was very disappointed with Lapis because I had the right to know what had been going on, I mean this is ridiculous. I have my mother's powers. I have her shield. They need me. You know what, I'll just eavesdrop.

"So what happened? Explain everything! We have already contacted the Crystal Gems, they will be back in a couple of hours.", Lapis said is a very serious tone. "Well, you see, a gem named Aquamarine decided to start a.... Revolution. She wanted to overthrow the Diamond Authority, and replace it with something called a... Democracy." 'Wait, so it's like the American government', he said to himself. How do the gems know that? As he was getting closer to the gems to hear what they were saying, he tripped, and the other gems saw him. "Steven!? What are you doing here?", asked Lapis in a very furious tone. "Oh.... well... um..... I was eavesdropping......" I said back to her sounding very frightened. "Steven," the gems said, "you cannot hear these things". Lapis sighed. "Peridot.... can you take Steven to the barn?", she asked. "Sure, but can you inform me of what is happening later?", Peridot asked Lapis. "Yes, I will."
