Sun, glimmering, shining, red velvet curtains, and a fluffy coach.
That's how you wake up the next morning.
Completely forgetting you're on a couch, you roll over, and fall to the ground with a grunt.
"You alright, sweetheart?" A voice echoes.
A pair of green eyes stare down at your helpless rag doll of a body as you pick yourself up.
"Doing just fine." You smile at the tall figure in front of you.
"Alright. Luna is making breakfast, so, I would hurry your little muffins there, sweetheart." You growl at the nickname he calls you.
"I'm on my way!" You groan, as he chuckles, pivoting, before entering the kitchen.
The smell of bacon, eggs, pancakes, and waffles engulfs your senses, to the point where you feel like you're being suffocated in delicious scents.
You eat the assortments of food so fast, that JJ would be impressed.
That thought sickens you. Just the thought of the Sidemen right now seemed to make you sick.
And that's when your phone goes off.
Simon <3
You face palm at the fact you didn't change his name.
You give a skeptical look and Jordan who is just on the other side of the island.
"Who is it?" He looks up at you, with a skeptical look.
"My brother. I should probably take this." You lie. "I'll be right back."
~~~~~
"It's Simon." You shoot a look to see his reaction.
"You may want to take that..." he murmurs to himself.
You walk out of the room, warily looking at the phone.
"Hello?"
"(Y/N)!!" He says with surprise. "Please, get the fuck home."
You snort, fairly un lady like.
"Do you even know Jordan?"
"We went to highschool together." And you already knew that this was going to be a year long back story. "He was the quart-"
"So, you hate him?" You grown, skipping the dramatic "quarterback steal my girl" story.
He exhales a huge sigh.
"Yes."
"He's sweet."
"He's a bastard." You roll your eyes in annoyance.
"What do you want, Simon?" You figure cutting to the chase will help you end the talk you're having.
"I want you to come back."
"It's not like you had an interest in me." You shrug.
"But I do. Please, (Y/N), you have to believe me." He struggles the words out. It's obvious he's suffering.
"Then why did you break up with me?" You chuckle. "It was a day."
"I was being stupid."
"Simon. Stop." You immediately growl at his stupid actions. You weren't going to come back to him just cause he begged. That's not how this game worked.
"Hey Simon. You wanna play a game?" You smile deviously.
"What...? Uh...sure."
"You get to earn my trust back. Not beg for it."
He scowls.
Immediately, you recognize that Simon doesn't like to work for things. This was gonna be better than you thought.
"Good luck."
"You're not gonna give me any hints or anythin-"
And you hang up.
You instantly feel like a badass, and want to boast for your actions.
But you remember,
You lied to Jordan.
~~~~
Jordan hates Simon.
You decide the only rationally decision: it was time to go home. To see Max at the apartment.
To be happy.
You quickly rush out with the news you were leaving Jordan.
For now.
•••••
Insert. Twist. Turn.
Click.
The door to the apartment clicks open, calling your name with open arms.
The smell of Max hits you, and you smile.
"Max?" You call out. No answer.
"Mmaaaaaxxxx?" You call again. Silence.
You know something's up.
You check all the rooms. Max isn't there.
You sigh heavily.
He's probably out drinking or something.
You think.
And with that, you fall gently asleep, to the crickets chirping in the last bit of spring.
