Dad stood across from me in the UN facility in the middle of Berlin that afternoon. He had his arms crossed at his chest, his hand on his chin. He was staring long and hard at me. He's been like that for awhile now. I sat with a pout on my lips, my leg crossed over the other in a rolling chair.

We were inside a glass office, around us was the main control room of the facility. Dozens of Agents work around us, barely noticing the Billionaire Dad and Daughter.

"So" Dad started, shoving his hands in to his dark grey pants pockets. He took a deep breath "You went to this Winter Soldiers' house last year, without telling me if I may add. And frankly, you didn't tell anyone. Then, you sent Steve over there to aid in his escape before law enforcement could arrived even after the maniac BOMBED the UN building. You stuck your nose somewhere where it had no business being, am I right or am I right?!" he gave me a hard look.

I purposefully didn't look him in the eye, that made him even angrier "I mean, what do you have to say for yourself? Did you think that I wasn't going to find out? Jessica, who's side are you on?"

"Side?" I spat "Since when are there sides? This is Steve and Sam we're talking about! Not the Union verses the Confederacy!"

"You live by the Accords now Jessi, you can't just go off and do these things. Your actions have consequences"

"What? Am I going to get arrested?" I challenged.

Dad took a deep breath and rubbed his hands slowly over his eyes. I noticed for the first time that he looked tired. The bags under his eyes, and the frown lines were more prominent then ever before.

I guess I never wanted to accept the fact that my Dad is getting older. He's not thirty-seven anymore and I'm not nine. I placed my elbows on my knees and buried my head in my hands. I didn't intend to hurt anyone, I never wanted for a crusade on the streets of Romania. I just wanted to make sure that Bucky was innocent until proven guilty.

"Okay look" Dad finally sighed after about a minute of silence "I get it, I get that you want to help Steve, and I know you care about Sergeant Barnes. Your Mother cared too, so you feel you have to as well"

"It's not just that Dad" I elevated my arms to try and get my point across "Bucky isn't some mindless killing machine with a stone heart. Sure, Hydra brainwashed him and used him to do horrible things, but now he's different. When I spoke with him last year, I could see that he was different. He's just a guy trying to live. He doesn't want Hydra, or whoever, to find him again. All this attention is dangerous for him"

"Jes, you're the one who gave Steve the address, and that's what caused all of this. All of this attention is, hate to say this, your fault"

"What caused this is the bomb that someone let off in the UN building. Yeah, sure, I sent Steve to go find him, I'll admit it. But I didn't know that this would happen. The German Officials were going to find him anyway. Steve knows him better then anyone, its best that they stay together-"

I was cut off by his cell phone that began ringing. He shook his head and pulled it out of his pocket. I grabbed his wrist before he accepted the call, he looked at me "You know that I did what I felt was right" I asked "right?" The British Librarian told me to do that.
