Ch. 10: Bonds of a Family

DM's POV:
When I quietly opened the library door I saw the cutest image. A mother reading to her son. I heard
"Greeting Death as an old friend, they departed this life as equals. The End!" Hermione said.
"Thank You mummy!" Scorpius said and kissed Hermione's cheek. She smiled and kissed his nose. I smiled too. Then I sat on a chair beside them.
"Hello, did you like that story Scorp?" I said curiously even though I had some feeling that it was his favorite. I saw a shocked Hermione too!
"Sorry darling I didn't mean to come here out of the blue!" I said in a sorry sort of way. Which I was of course. Don't think that I've gone back to being a mudblood hating deatheater!! I thought to myself.
"It's okay.... Just a little shaken...." Hermione said. I felt really bad. Worse than when I called her a mudblood during our second year.
"I loved it daddy! It is my favorite story!" Scorp said with excitement which cut right into my thoughts!
"I know son.... I'm happy you enjoyed it so much! I know mummy loves reading to you too!" I said and saw Hermione smiling even more then before. Hermione checked her platinum watch.
"Scorpius sweetheart do you want to go have lunch?" Hermione asked.
"Yes please mummy." Scorpius said.
"That's a good idea darling it's about 12:30 anyways...." I said. So we all got up.
"Do you need a hand?" I asked Hermione.
"That would be greatly appreciated!" She said with a laugh. I just love when she laughs I just noticed. I guess I've always loved her laugh especially in our future lives! I thought to myself. When we were walking out of the library hand in hand Hermione whispered
"I found a book on How to Time Travel with Objects when I had found my copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard to read to Scorpius."
"That's wonderful...." I said with a fake smile. Maybe staying here wouldn't be too bad.... But on the downside we should both go through this remembering our lives.... I thought to myself seriously. I really did grow up I thought again. Then Scorpius again cut through the end of my thoughts by running to the kitchen when we were walking down the corridor and out of the library!
"Be careful Scorpius!!" Hermione said in a motherly tone and started walking toward Scorpius who had now stopped running after Hermione's statement!! I bet she learned that from Mrs. Weasel I mean Weasley. Old habits never die hard. I would "always" remember the time that Weasley's mother sent him a howler in our second year! Wow was that embarrassing!! I would hate for my mum to send me a howler.... Why am I being nice.... Hermione's really rubbed off on me! Now enough with my thoughts.... Wait I need to talk to Hermione about her parents and the other things I was thinking about earlier!! I'll just have to ask her later when I remember.... Where's a remembrall when you need one!! Oh wait I stole one from Neville in our first year!! I chuckled silently.... Then I started full out laughing like a wizard who's had too much fire whiskey and talks rubbish!!
"What are laughing about...." Hermione asked Scorpius in tow holding on to her hand. Small dainty hands.... Hermione's small dainty hands.... My wife's small dainty hands....I'm getting carried away aren't I!!
"Nothing.... Nothing at all...." I say like I've done something worth while for going to Azkaban!! I shouldn't be joking about that after the war and all........
"It's just that you sounded like Mrs. Weasley...." I said a little softer than I should have but she still heard me!!
"I'll take that as a complement.... But I get why you laughed. The howler Mrs. Weasley sent to poor Ronald.... How embarrassing that was.... Right!!" She stifled a laugh. That laugh.... I thought. Don't get carried away Draco!! I said to myself mentally or she would of heard me! Hermione *cough* *cough* MY wife has ears like a bat!! All I could do was nod before we reached the dining room. Then I remembered didn't I want to ask her if she was okay being in the room my Aunt Bella tortured her in....
