Laying in her bed she gazed absently at the ceiling. Sighing she propped her hands behind her head trying to get more comfortable.
Lately, Eryn has been thinking a lot of the day they told her 'she was ready'.
After practically ripping the skin of her back apart the guards let down her chains and they dragged the battered female through numerous halls not caring that her feet were trailing behind her leaving traces of her blood. Filling the halls with the stench of the metallic substance gushing out of her back.
Finally arriving at their destination they threw Eryn into a chair that sat in the middle of the room, growling at the guards for their roughness she started taking in her surroundings.
The normally stale air became a little crisper, the underground synthetic lights were replaced by windows and for the first in God knows how long she gazed out into the world. Watching birds fly by, the wind ruffling through the leaves of the high and mighty looking trees. Almost feeling the breeze on her skin as she can vaguely remember how that felt, almost.
It must have been the beginning of summer since the sun was already shining with all its might, trying to warm the cold bruised face of Eryn. Squinting she bathed in the rays of heavenly delight.
The female eyed the room, letting her eyes slide from the warm brown colored wall to the few paintings that occupied it, onto the sleek mahogany desk.
She winced noticing she is still losing blood. Pressing harder into the chair she stifled a scream by biting her lower lip. Sighing she waited not knowing what to expect.
After quite some time a tall broad man stepped into the room, filling it with a sickening sense of authority. Eyeing every step he took he finally sat down behind the desk.
Raising an eyebrow she waited for him to open his mouth and say something useful. But he did no such thing, in fact, he leaned back in his chair looking her up and down as if he was inspecting his next meal.
Scoffing Eryn closed her eyes already getting worked up over this situation.
"Eryn." Her eyes flew open instantly. Her name hasn't been taking on someone's tongue in a long time. The guards never did, not bothering and she liked it that way. No one should dare take her name in their mouth.
Already her lips started curling up exposing her teeth, Eryn could feel her gums tightening when her canines tried forcing their way through. The vibrations of the underlying growl made her whole body tremble.
"I suggest you stop that immediately and let me talk." He barked at her dangerously as if daring her to go further. Already annoyed at her he scoffed rolling his eyes. Deepening her frown she stopped the growling but held her teeth exposed warning the man who has crossed his arms in the meantime puffing out his chest. Both they sat silently trying to display their power, their stubbornness, their supremacy.
As the man eyed her more intensely a small smirk began to form on his lips, "They were right, you are ready."
Snapping her jaw at him she soon hissed forgetting momentarily her back was shredded quickly pressing herself against the back of the chair she growled out again. "Well you are certainly not ready for me that's for fucking sure." She has not spoken so many words at once, sitting for a long time and it felt weird letting it flow freely from her tongue.
The smirk now gone he stood up in all seriousness and came around to sit on the smooth mahogany in front of her. Silence filled the room, the warm rays that caressed her arms did nothing for the hairs that started rising in alarm.
Slowly but surely he lowered his menacing face down to hers and when he was close enough for her to clamp her teeth on his neck she licked her teeth steadying herself to pounce. Before she could make her move the man grabbed her hair, tugging hard at the dirty locks, almost ripping it from her scalp. His cracked looking lips positioned itself before her ear. His black short beard scraped Eryn hard against her cheek.
"That will be the last time you used such a tone with me, Eryn, I do not forgive nor do I forget to show some respect to me." Hissing at the pain that started to explode from her scalp she stayed silent, glaring at the man as he released her.
"Good. Now listen closely girl as I will not repeat myself. You will be transferred to the bunkers and thus removed from the cells and you will start training as soon as your wounds are fixed. You shall address me as sir and obey every command I give you for I am your superior." Already she was getting confused and her brows frowned in agreement with her. That did not stop him from giving further instructions.
"- and last but not least important. Kill first, ask questions later." She remembered vividly that the blood momentarily stopped flowing, her breath hitched and she stopped moving altogether.

Now after several years of training, grooming and molding her into the monster she is, Eryn currently laid in that bed contemplating about that day.
How she was so furious at Klynn, the man on the mahogany desk. Offended that he thought she would bow down so easily, that she would kill so mercilessly. So galled with herself for caving in so quickly. She tried hard fighting to disobey. Thinking of all the kills she has performed over the years, it got easier with time but Eryn will never forget the first one.
There were the monthly fights, the battles as Klynn liked to call them. He would always be there when the fights took place, watching silently with a ghost of a smile on his face. The fights were there to eliminate the weak from the strongest as he so carefully explained. There would be no end until one of the two fighters died. And if one decided he or she could not do it, they would be killed by Klynn himself.
The first time Eryn had to participate she looked into the blue innocent eyes of a weeping girl, begging her to not be killed, that she didn't have to do this. It was the blue-eyed girl or Eryn. Eyeing Klynn he raised his head in warning if she did not comply. With tears now streaming down her own face it was the first time she had cried since long. Trying to stall it all she must have circled the blonde girl for hours. Both crying it seemed there was no end to this hell.
A booming voice bounced off the walls invading her ears, with one simple word she was commanded, daring her to defy him.
"Now."
She had made it as painless as possible for the girl.
From that day Klynn has favored her, letting her know she was the best for all the kills she has performed over the time.
Lost in her thoughts she almost missed the high pitched noise that made its way into her ears. Flinging herself upwards she maneuvered her way through the beds leaving the bunker.
Halting outside she witnessed the sight before her, she yelled as much annoyance as possible, "Wake the fuck up! We're under attack!"
