Chapter 7: Arcane vs Cash

Depth Charge and Sonar both walked into the room at the same time.

Depth Charge, who had just arrived back here, was unaware of the situation and had to be briefed.

When he had been told that these two had taken down half of the Made-Men platoons they had brought, and Brawl, Dominatrix, Judas Black in the process, Depth Charge couldn't help but be a little intimidated and impressed.

No wonder Meta-Master wouldn't let him and the escape chopper in past the barrier sheild, he wanted to make sure the viable threat to the plan had been taken care of first.

"You know somehow, when I said it was "unwise to let any of the Heroes Legion to roam free...even if they were outside the Mansion grounds when we took over the place"...it seems my misgivings were justified. I knew we shouldn't have listened to Black Knight, that "Knight in rusted armor" has an ego the size of this complex. Figures he would have lied about his heroic counterpart's power level to make HIMSELF look better in comparison. So what's the status on the intruders?"

"He's finished" Sonar said proudly, "I shot him right through the head with a high powered riffle"

"Him?" Depth Charge asked suspiciously, "As in just one guy? I thought you said you had two intruders in here"

"We do now,the remaining Intruder is General Arcane, commander of S.L.E.E.T, an old War Hero, tough as nails..." Cash Williams said with a smug grin as he leaned against the wall of the chamber, "But trust me, he won't be a problem to kill"

"That's good to hear Mr. Cash..." Meta-Master said behind him with a grin, "That's why I want you to go and do it"

Cash Williams turned and looked at the Supervillain in response, "Me?"

Meta-Master in turn tossed him an advanced looking machine gun, "That...is a Code Series: 776-Advance Infantry Infrared Ultra-Gun. The best of the best of S.L.E.E.T's handheld offensive weaponry. This little baby comes with Infrared heat sensing sniper scope, fires 233 round per second, recoil rate of one, and a bullet cartridge capacity of 12....and it even comes with batteries included"

Cash Williams marveled at the advanced weapon that was now within his hands.

"Wow!" Cash Williams said as he realised the power he had in his hands now, and thinking also how many dangerous Metahumans he could take down with this kind of weapon.

"And if Arcane proves to be too tough for this, doubtful I know... but just in case" Meta-Master reached behind his cloak and pulled out from somewhere in his outfit that Cash Williams couldn't see two M-50 crystals, he then handed them to Cash Williams "use these"

Cash Williams eagerly took the M-50 crystals, now was the point where Meta-Master's plan was starting to become HIS plan, just as he had planned.

He cocked the Advance gun he had just gotten trigger, and grinned with sadistic and eager glee "Where can I find my old commanding officer?"

"He's up in the Mansion Grounds, since Shadow Knight wrecked the Main Elevator he's locked off from the clubhouse. He's got nowhere else to go....go find him, and kill him" Meta-Master said pointing to the door out of the chamber, "and then get down here and get the rest of the M-50 out of here with the rest of the made-men"

"You're going to leave the others?" Techne asked Meta-Master surprised.

"Of course not" Meta-Master lied, "we don't leave our kind behind, but we will have to leave our dead. There won't be enough time to collect them"
