I grab a taxi and Avery follows. On the way to Ethan's house I got nervous

I grab my stuff and go to the door. Avery sits in the car and I looked back at her.

She mouthed, GO...

I sigh and knock on the door. A knot twisted in my stomach.

I hear someone come to the door and they answer.

Cam...

" Oh my god?!!", she smiled and pulled me into a hug.

I smiled and saw Grayson in the back. He smiled at me and got up.

He ran towards the door and gave me a hug.

" Hey!", he smirked. I laughed and he pulled me inside. Then his face went blank.

He gave a look to Cameron and then to the stairs. She nodded and ran up the stairs, to Ethan's room.

What...?

" How have you been Ella?!?", he pulled me into another hug and I laughed.

" I've been good...", he sighed when I said that.

I hear a girls laughter upstairs and Cameron shushing her.

I furrow my eyebrows and look up the stairs. I see Ethan at the railing smiling.

A smile appeared on my face and I started blushing.

" Ella...", he started running towards the stairs and ran up to me.

He picked me up into a hug and I buried my face in his neck.

I feel my eyes sting and then I remember.

" What were you doing?", I sigh.

" I was, working out.", that's when I saw her, fucking walk down the hall.

" What the fuck Ethan?", my eyes begin to water.

" What...?", he turns around to wear I was pointing.

" You fucking cheater! I fucking hate you! You... cunt, you bitch!", his eyes widen.

" I... Stop- It's not what it looks-"

" Bullshit Ethan! Fucking bullshit! Leave me the fuck alone!", I end the call and cover my face with my hands.

I pull away from the hug and look upstairs.

" Ella- I'm sorry...", his eyes were getting watery and I turned from him.

I see a girl upstairs and hear her laugh. She had long blonde hair and that's when it hit me.

It has to be Meredith... his ex. The girl at the party, the girl who was walking down the hall.

I sigh and feel my eyes sting.

" Ethan-", I'm interrupted by sobs. Ethan grabs my hand and I pull away.

" I'm so sorry Ella... I need you, you need me, you said so yourself...", a tear flew from his face.

" Well then, I fucking take back what I said...", I wipe the tears flying from my face and grab my luggage.

Before I leave, someone grabs my arm but I continue going outside.

I look around and the taxi Avery was in wasn't there.

" Stop Ella-", I turn to see Grayson. I begin to cry again.

" I'm sorry- I didn't mean it- I...", I scream as I look back at the door.

" You can go tell him...", he pulled me into a hug. I cried in his arms.

" But- I don't want to see him right now... Gray...", I'm interrupted by sobs.

" Okay...", Grayson grabbed my arm again and pulled me towards his car.

He opened the door and I got in.

" Where are we going...?", I sniffled.

" I don't know but you have to get your mind off of him...", He turned to a pizza shop.

Grays POV

I couldn't let her stay there any longer. Meredith was going to walk down the stairs any minute and she would've made the situation a whole lot worse.

Ella doesn't deserve this, Ethan doesn't deserve her. She deserves a guy, who has always loved her, who would never do anything to hurt her. And Ethan can't provide that.

I look at her as she buries her face in her face in her hands and sobs. I try to talk, but I couldn't find the right words to say.

I ordered the pizza and went in to get it. She didn't say anything the entire time, she just cried.

I pulled her into a hug and she ran into my arms. I feel like all she needed was a hug to calm her down.

I walked over to her side of the car and opened the door.

" Come here...", I pulled her into a hug and she continued to cry.

" I can't believe he'd do that to me...", I wiped the tears from her face. She looks up at me.

Her beautiful green eyes were now a shade darker and I sighed.

" He doesn't deserve you... You deserve someone who would never hurt you. You deserve someone who would put you first. You deserve someone who... would remind you everyday, about how much they love you...", I cupped her cheek.

She let a small smile and then looked down. She pulled me into a hug and sighed.

" I love you Gray...", she sighed.

" I love you too...", a smile appeared on my face.

I drove her to the beach and we laughed the entire car ride.

I just kept thinking about what we said to each other.

She did say she loved me, like a girl would say to their friends, but I don't think she understands that I really like her. And that really threw me off guard.

Her hair blew in the wind and she got up.

" Come in the water with me Gray!", she walked into the shore.

I laughed as I stood up. I walked into the water.
