"We don't have any holding space available."

Those were the words that seemed to send my thoughts on a frenzy, my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes losing their sparkle as my shoulders fell. They had to be kidding. It had been less than a minute since I entered Scepter 4 headquarters, and already my experience was not going as I planned. The female clansmen crossed her arms under her chest, making it seem bigger than it already was as she sighed and closed her eyes "very well..." she paused "I'll talk to the captain, in the meantime do not let Miss Totsuka out of your sight." The female turned to me, her head tilted slightly to the side as her blonde bangs brushed against her cheek before hanging loosely "I hope you do not cause any trouble" she said firmly and I knew by her narrowed eyes that she was serious. "O-of course" I smile, closing my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes as I nervously laughed only to open my eyes and see that the woman's expression was in no way affected. I puffed out my cheeks but only slightly at my failed attempt to make the woman change facial expressions. What was with this bunch? "Take her to the control room, the back should be fine" the woman said, her blue eyes now staring at one of the blue clansmen that held onto one of my arms, keeping me in place. "Yes ma'am" both of the blue clansmen said, their voices so emotionless, as if they had practiced saying this over and over. And knowing how strict Scepter 4 was rumored to be, they probably had practiced enough to sound like machines that said nothing but what they were programmed to. "This way Miss Totsuka" the blue clansmen to my left said, giving my arm a small tug as he guided me from what I could only guess was the entrance room to what I could tell was what they called "the control room". My (f/c) boots seemed to drag across the blue carpet beneath my feet as I was led from the entrance hall to a set of tall snow-white doors. My (h/l) (h/c) hair fell across my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes before falling loosely behind me as I craned my neck to see the top of the doors, the top almost touching the ceiling causing my eyes to widen in slightly fascination. "Do you like it?" I'm snapped out of my thoughts as a voice rang in my right ear, and my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes immediately trail up to meet the source of the sound and I blink in silent surprise upon staring into a pair of jade green eyes. "Yes...it's very beautiful" I answer honestly, turning my head up to look at the door once again as my eyes seemed to trail over every detail that carved themselves into the wood and golden handles. A chuckle emitted from the man at my right side at my comment and I allow my multi-colored eyes to scan his face once again only to see that his green eyes were closed, his lips forming into a smile as he chuckled, his shoulder-length orange hair bouncing with his slim shoulders. "What's so funny?" I ask, my eyebrow rose in both curiosity and slight annoyance but once his green eyes opened again and he composed himself the annoyance left my attitude. "It's nothing really" he answered "It's just that I've been working here for awhile now and I never really stopped to actually look at the place...much less call it beautiful...It's strange how-" "Domoyoji, that's enough" a voice said calmly but firmly. A small look of surprise crossed over my features as my eyes looked up at the blue clansmen to my left, he had spoke. And I realized that upon staring into his black eyes that they were staring right back into my (f/c) and (e/c) ones, but just as quickly as I had spotted them they disappeared as he turned his head, his dark green hair swaying with the gesture. "We have a simple order," the man said, his pale hands reaching for the golden door handles and pulling them open "at least try to follow them." As soon as the words left his lips and the tall white doors swung open I could feel a light breeze blow through my (h/l) (h/c) hair as my eyes sparkled in amazement upon seeing the room that lay before me, "Wow" I breathe out. It was beautiful. Dim sunlight poured in through the glass windows and through the violet curtains into the spacious room, hitting the white marble and sleek wood that adorned the walls causing them to almost shine. Designs were carved into the white marble and only seemed to add charm to the inside of the building as much as the outside. Various round tables with three wooden chairs to each and three laptops, each resting upon pastel purple tablecloths that turned into white upon reaching the bottom of the fabric. Six TV monitors hung upon the white marble and wooden walls, each with their screens glowing as various news channels were displayed upon them, no noise emitting from the large screens. As I turned my head my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes could catch sight of a single wooden showcase nestled in a corner that displayed what looked like a sword and various pictures and meddles, nothing but glass protecting the items. Never in my wildest dreams had I imagined the scepter 4 headquarters to look like this. "This way" I'm brought back into reality as my chains were pulled once more and without complaint I followed, my (h/l) (h/c) hair swaying this way and that as my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes searched for any beautiful detail that I might have missed. It was not long before my feet stopped and my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes settled on what was a single wooden chair, isolated from the tables and computers, leaning against the wall that held the six TV monitors. "Here?" I ask, tilting my head slightly "here" the stern one said, his black eyes emotionless and uninterested. My eyes narrowed slightly as I stared at the single wooden chair but I put all my thoughts aside as I turned around in one swift movement, adjusting my (f/c) jacket before putting my hands respectively in my lap and sitting just like I was told. And as soon as I do, a faint smile appears on my lips as I close my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes, my (h/l) (h/c) hair flowing as it pleased as the sun that shined in through the windows hit my (skin tone) skin, warming me up everywhere it touched. My hands found their way to my shoulders as I hugged myself tightly, trying to soak up as much warmth as possible as if it would fade away at any given moment. And something in the back of my head seems to remind me of that. A small purr escapes me as I wiggle into the seat, trying to find the most comfortable position to spend my time at. This could take much longer than I expected. Slowly, I begin to open my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes and when I do I see that both clansmen were staring at me, both with strange curiosity. The air was suddenly filled with an awkward silence causing me to lower my head slightly in embarrassment but just as quickly as the silence had been created it had been interrupted. "Are you in a relationship with the Red King?" my head snaps up at the question, only to see that it came out of the orange-haired clansmen mouth, his green eyes serious and interested. "Domoyoji, don't ask about business that does not concern you" the other clansmen spoke, "I'm not the only one who thinks it's weird!" the boy who I assumed was named Domoyoji said back, "when was the last time you saw any woman within that distance of him without sleeping with him or running away?" he asked. The green haired clansmen clicked his tongue as he looked down, his arms crossed in a defensive position "that is partly true..." he mumbled, his eyes glancing at me "but we don't know if one of those actions caused her to be...." he paused "carrying his heir" he finished. The man called Domoyoji seemed to ponder this but as I watched and listened between them I couldn't help but let the words I had cooped up in my head out of my mouth. "What is a...relationship?" I ask, tilting my head so that my (h/l) (h/c) hair swept in front of my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes, quickly being brushed away with one of my shackled hands. "And...Carrying an heir?" My (f/c) and (e/c) eyes narrowed as I spoke, my brain searching for anything that might hint me towards the meaning but just as I expected nothing came up. The orange-haired man snorted "you're kidding right?" he asked, his green eyes sparkling in amusement but as I kept quiet and kept my confused expression I could slowly see that he was beginning to understand. "You really don't know?" he asked, "You know...girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, babies?" he went down the list and each time a word rolled off his tongue a small pain surged through my head but each time nothing made me know or remember. Why was it always like this? I fumbled with the (f/c) fabric of my jacket as I shook my head, my (f/c) and (e/c) trained on nothing but my (f/c) boots. But that didn't stop my eyes glancing up every so often and it didn't stop the whispered conversation that soon reached my ears. "You think she's mentally challenged?" one voice spoke "who knows what kind of things they do at that bar, but a lack of intelligence would be my second guess" the other voice spoke. My (f/c) and (e/c) eyes widen slightly upon suddenly having a metallic taste fill my mouth, I hadn't even realized I had pierced the inside of my cheek with my teeth for the second time. Was this really what people thought of me? That I was dumb, that I knew nothing and chose to be that way? What had I done to them? "I....I-I'm not either of those things!" I blurt out, my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes seeming to both plead and glare "I may not remember a lot of things if I even knew them in the first place, but...but Tatara just says I'm special!" I can feel my cheeks start to burn at the sudden statement. It was true, he had said that...I just never thought I would feel so ignorant saying it. "I haven't been around people for a very long time" I admitted, my mouth still letting the words that were cooped in my brain spill out "I know that I don't remember a lot of things...just...it hurts to be laughed at" I whisper, wincing slightly as my head let out another shock of pain along with my chest. Silence. That was all that filled the empty space that was the Scepter 4 headquarters. Silence seemed to seep from the walls and through the windows and into my very bones. And it was dreadful. "I didn't expect things to be this calm," "A-ah Lieutenant Awashima!" both voices of the male clansmen stutter as if they knew they would be in big trouble if they were caught slacking off. My (f/c) and (e/c) eyes look up slightly through locks of my (h/l) (h/c) hair, being swept away by my shackled hands once more but they quickly return to my lap as my eyes, that focused on nothing but my (f/c) boots, suddenly focused on a sleek pair of shiny black boots. "I imagine you're adjusting well?" a feminine voice asked, it's tone light but in a way still deadly stern. "I...It's been.." I didn't know what to say. It was like the cat got my tongue (why?). So I did the only thing my body seemed to let me do; let my head hang low as I rested my chained wrists in my lap. But before I could complete my actions and admit defeat my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes widen upon hearing something that I would have never expected to hear. "It's been really fun!" a voice blurted out and my multicolored eyes immediately snapped up as my back straightened and I saw none other than the orange-haired clansmen named Domoyoji who stood up in a defensive position, his whole face turning red in embarrassment and panic. He had no idea what to say. "Miss Totsuka is actually really cool" Domoyoji went on, his words small and a bit unsure "she was just telling us about HOMRA! Isn't that right Akiyama?" he asked, turning to stare at the green-haired clansmen as his eyes widened in surprise and panic knowing that the issue was now directed towards him. "O-oh..." he trailed off as he rubbed the back of his neck nervously, his stoic features breaking as they showed slight panic, his black eyes darting across the floor until finally his lips parted. "Y-yes, Miss Totsuka is very kind," he finally sputtered out and I could feel the tiniest smile grow on my lips when he did. Then, as if he knew I was staring at him his black eyes stared into my (f/c) and (e/c) ones and my smile grew wider as I bowed my head down slightly and mouthed two words; "thank you". The man who I now knew to be named Akiyama immediately left my gaze, turning his black eyes down to his shoes but I could see him nod, and I was grateful. "Is that so?" The female clansmen said, and I looked up to see that her blue eyes were trained on no one but me and I could feel a shiver run down my spine as I shook my head yes. "Good" she said with a sigh of relief, brushing of the non-existing dirt from her blue coat "then I have no need to get extra forces" she said, walking as she spoke only to sit down at a table within arm's length from me, taking out a box covered in a white cloth only to reveal a small container. A sweet smell filled the air and made my mouth water and upon the female clansmen opening the container I was overjoyed seeing what it was. "Would you like any anko Akiyama? Domoyoji?" she asked, holding up the container full of delicious maroon-colored bean paste before getting a small scoop and putting it in her mouth, her expression nonchalant as she waited for an answer. I could feel myself wiggle in my seat as the smell became stronger and stronger, my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes practically sparkling. "Uh...no" "no thank you" both clansmen answered, each one looking nervous and a bit disgusted by the question as if this was something that happened often. The female clansmen closed her eyes and nodded in understanding, taking another spoonful of the bean paste and placing it in her mouth, the tiniest hint of a smile appearing on her features. But not for long. Suddenly her blue eyes open once more and stare straight into my (f/c) and (e/c) ones, trailing from me to her container then back to me before suddenly sighing quietly and gesturing the container towards me. "M-me?" I ask, raising my shackled wrists in an attempt to point towards myself and failing but I knew my point got across for the female clansmen nodded causing a wide smile to spread across my features. "Yes, Please!!!" I squeal happily, my eyes closing as I jumped up and down in my seat excitedly, my (h/l) (h/c) hair bouncing with my shoulders. The female clansmen seemed to be amused by my behavior for she closed her ocean blue eyes once more and the tiniest hint of a smile grew on her lips as she placed both the container and the spoon in my lap causing me to squeal happily once more. "I have plenty more" the female clansmen said, her blue eyes casting down to the floor as she crossed her legs and arms, "It is best that we show you the slightest bit of hospitality, we are not barbarians after all Miss To-" " It's (L/n), or (Y/n) if you prefer" I interrupt. The words left my mouth before I even knew they did, but once they were out, they were out. The female clansman's blue eyes seemed to widen slightly in interest but soon turn into a look I had never seen her make before...it was almost as if she was...being normal and kind. "(Y/n)...(L/n)? Did you make that up yourself?" she asked, watching me as I nodded, my mouth full of sweet red bean paste. "I thought it sounded pretty" I confessed, my smile turning into a thoughtful one "my family gave me my first name, but I came up with my last name all on my own!" I say proudly, using my thumb to point at myself as I smiled widely. "Your...family?" the female clansmen asked, her whole body facing my direction as she tilted her head slightly only for me to nod as I took in another spoonful of bean paste. "Yeah! I think of HOMRA as my family" I answer honestly "why wouldn't I?...Doesn't everyone want to feel loved?" I asked and by the expression the female clansmen made I knew she was taken aback by my question. "I...I suppose so" the female clansmen said, sitting up straight as she cleared her throat and looked away from my direction leaving the room to be filled with nothing but silence. My (h/l) (h/c) hair fell over my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes once more but I made no move to get them out of the way and instead continued to shovel sweet red bean paste into my mouth, purring at the flavor that exploded on my tongue. "Awashima Seri" "h-huh?" My (f/c) and (e/c) eyes immediately look over in the direction of the voice only to widen upon seeing none other than the female classmen, her hand outstretched towards me. Her face seemed to turn slightly embarrassed upon her gesture but her posture never faltered, "My name is Awashima Seri...Nice to meet you Miss (L/n)" she said quickly as I took her hand in mine, shaking it politely as I had been taught. "You can just call me (Y/n)" I smiled widely, retracting my hand before crossing my legs and returning to the container that lay within my lap not even remember that my wrists were shackled and not even caring. But as my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes trailed over to the female clansmen or Seri once more I was surprised to see that she quickly stood up and covered her relaxed expression with a serious and cold one. And upon looking ahead of her I could see why. "Akiyama, I suspect holding space is available?" "Yes ma'am, Fushimi is waiting at the cell to supervise" "Great, I'll send her there momentarily." The conversation ended abruptly and both clansmen nodded respectfully to each other. "This way...(Y/n)" Seri said, my name leaving her lips steadily but unsurely as she gently grabbed onto my shoulder with one hand as she disposed of the container on my lap with the other. "O-okay" I stutter out, my (h/l) (h/c) hair flowing behind me as I was led out of my chair and out of the beautiful control room before I could even wave goodbye to the two clansmen who had been so kind to me. As soon as my (f/c) boots stepped outside of the control room I found myself inside the entrance hallway once more but I had no time to look around for Seri led me through another set of doors at the end of the hallway. As soon as the doors were opened it led to another large hall with large archways with open doors that led to different rooms, and I named each one as I went by. 1 kitchen, 1 large empty room with nothing but a piano and a fireplace, 3 entryways to new halls, and 1 door at the very end of the hall that looked different from all the rest. The door was wooden and had nothing but a window blocked by steel bars and as we walked towards it my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes widened upon seeing that it was starting to crumble. It was actually falling apart. Every step that we took towards it caused the wooden door to come apart like a puzzle piece, each part disappearing into the wall that created the doorway, revealing a dark hallway filled with row after row with cells. "I'm staying here?" I ask, my question coming out almost as a squeak before I looked to see Seri nod. "Don't worry, nothing will happen to you" she said reassuringly, still guiding me past the door and into the hallway, my (f/c) boots clicking against the stone floor creating a noise that echoed throughout the large prison. But before I could look at the place where I would be held for who knows how long both me and Seri's footsteps came to an abrupt halt and when I looked in front of me to see where we had stopped my heart skip a beat as my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes settled on the figure in front of me. "Fushimi, this is Miss (L/n), take care of her until the captain gives her permission to leave."

He was beautiful.
