Reina: Is Isa reckless?

Probably.

Isa

I exited the portal and nearly smashed my face into an object because I tripped on a rock.

Sonic would be so proud. As I tried to get my bearings, my face began to throb. I scowled. Great... I must have hit it.

I looked around. I was standing near the Sorrowwood Catacombs sign (the thing I ran into). To my left was a swamp. To my right was the church that held the catacombs. It had fallen into disrepair - much like Cirque Ironica.

"To the creepy church I go..." I muttered.

I slowly approached the church, scanning for enemies or people ready to attack me for trespassing. None appeared, which left me feeling unsettled. It felt.... Unnatural.

The doors creaked as I slowly pushed them open. The air felt stale, making me blanch. How long had they been closed?

I scanned around and frowned. The outside was a church, but the inside looked like some sort of training facility. It felt... off.

I headed to the middle of the room when I heard something fall. Panicking, I grabbed two of my guns and began to shoot everywhere. I stopped to see if I anything....

Only to realize that the doors had fallen.

Whoops.

"So glad that no one saw that," I muttered to myself.

I walked forward until my foot hit something. Looking down, I noticed a trap door. Bending over, I grabbed the handle and lifted it up.

"Bingo," I whispered.

I hefted the door high enough for me to slip through. Once I was in, I let go and the trap door shut, leaving me alone in the dark. I shifted in my bag for my flashlight and walked around. It was a narrow corridor that had a low ceiling. Thankfully, I didn't have to crouch, so I could walk normally and not like Yandere-chan when she crawls.

As I moved forward, some light was shined into my eyes, I blinked and shielded my eyes. I moved forward a little until I realized that it was a mirror reflecting my light.

"Honestly, what's wrong with me?" I hissed. "I'm better than this."

I stared at the mirror and blinked. When had I gotten a dragon tattoo over my left eye?

Also, why did I have a dragon tattoo over my eye?

I scowled. "I must be losing my mind..."

Ignoring the mirror, I kept following the corridor. After a while, I entered a room. It was rather large and looked like a mad scientist's lab. In the middle was a suit with armor on it - it looked like a suit from Voltron Legendary Defender, but in black and completely shielding the face from view.

"What the hell...?"

I approached it and began to examine it. Reaching out to touch the mask, light sparked in the eye holes. An leg connected to my stomach, sending my backwards.

"Kya!"

I slammed into the wall and fell down, coughing. I looked up in time to see the armor stalk me. It went to kick me, but I rolled out off the way and kicked his legs, knocking it down, causing a grunt.

So there was someone inside of it.

Perhaps.... A Smasher?

I didn't have much time to think it over, as he got up. He reared back to punch me, forcing me to duck. I hooked an arm into his stomach and kicked his knee, forcing him down. I waited for a second to see what he would do.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"..."

"Answer me!" I demanded.

"L..."

"What?"

"Are you Luna or Helios Nightshade?"

"Uh, no."

"A primary?"

I frowned at that. "What? I have no idea what a primary is, so I'm going to say no."

He laughed. "Good. Then you're no one of consequence."

His hand reached out and grabbed my neck. He closed his fist and lifted me up, laughing. I attempted to kick him, but I was too far away from his body, and his arm was covered in metal. I began to panic. I couldn't stop him from chocking me. My vision began to darken.

"You stupid child... Traveling here alone. You shall die here, alone and forgotten."

Before he could crush my neck, he gasped and let go of me. I fell to the ground and coughed. He screamed, and I looked up in time to see lightning surround his body. It eventually stopped, and he turned to his attacker. Scowling, he pressed a button on his armor and disappeared.

I was still dazed from the chocking. I felt someone lift me up bridal style and examine me. "You got lucky, Isa. You managed to get away with just a bruise."

I closed my eyes and nodded. "Y-Yeah..."

"Can you walk?"

I attempted to move, but failed to do so. I opened my eyes and looked at my savior.

Blonde hair.... Brown eyes with a hint of mischievousness...

I blinked several times and gasped. "Nova?"

Reina: I HOPE I DIDN'T MESS NOVA UP.

There's actually a few other people with Nova as well. They'll appear next chapter.

So will the enemy from this chapter.
