magnolia sat in her hotel room waiting for the clock to hit 4:30, it was almost time for the wedding and she hadn't seen chris yet. it was unlike him to be so late, he was supposed to meet her in the hotel room that they were sharing before magnolia was supposed to go to marguerite's hotel room to prepare her for the ceremony.
magnolia stood from her spot on the bed and began pacing back and forth, she held her phone in her hand and never left sight of the screen. she eventually stopped pacing and went into the bathroom to check her hair and makeup.
finally her phone buzzed.
iMessage, Chris Evans: hey baby, sorry i'm running late. don't wait up. i'm sure you look absolutely beautiful. i'll see you at the ceremony 💞
magnolia sighed, she was disappointed that she wouldn't be seeing chris before the ceremony but she couldn't help but smile at how perfect he is. she dabbed on some matte lipstick, grabbed her phone and shoes, and left her hotel room to head down to marguerite's.
marguerite wasn't her dress, her makeup was done and her hair being worked on when magnolia walked into marguerite's room. marguerite held a picture or her and weston in her hands, slowly, she set the picture onto her lap before bringing her hand up and staring at the engagement ring that occupied her ring finger.
"are you nervous?" magnolia asked, smoothing out the back of her dress before sitting onto the unmade bed.
"i- uh, yeah. i am. i super nervous, i just- i want everything go as it's supposed to." marguerite sighed. she and magnolia looked at each other through the mirror in front of marguerite. magnolia gave marguerite a smile.
"don't be nervous, you and west are meant to be. you guys found you way back to each other when everyone thought y'all were over." magnolia said, standing up from her spot on the bed and walking over to her sister and the hairdresser. "you shouldn't be nervous because if you and weston are really meant to be, everything will go just how you want it."
"thank you, mags. i don't know what i'd do without you." marguerite said, reaching her hand out and grabbing onto her sisters hand.

magnolia waited in the line of bridesmaids and flower girls next to the groomsmen and ring bearers. she held a bouquet of red roses against her very light grey-purple bridesmaid dress. this time there wasn't going to be any unexpected surprises, everything was going to go just as marguerite wanted. magnolia looked over at the best man and smiled, she hadn't seen chace in a while, but when they saw each other for the first time that day, it felt like they had picked up right where they left off.
the bridesmaids and groomsmen begin to walk down the aisle, splitting at the alter. they're followed by the maid of honor—magnolia—and the best man—chace. they split at the alter, heading to each of their sides where the bride will be and where the groom is. magnolia's cousins, the ring bearer and the flower girl, start to make their way down the aisle. magnolia straightened her posture.
just as the flower girl threw the last few petals, the doors at the end of the church opened. maddox stood with marguerite in the opening of the doorway. marguerite was absolutely glowing, her smile was vibrant. magnolia always loved to watch the groom as the bride was coming down the aisle because his reaction is priceless and tends to bring tears to magnolia's eyes but this time, she couldn't read her eyes away from her sister.
maddox and marguerite reached the alter. maddox gave a look as if he didn't want to let her go but he knew if was for the best. maddox gently took marguerite's hand off his arm and placed it into the palm of weston's. marguerite walked until she was in line with magnolia but facing weston. marguerite quickly turned around and handed magnolia her bouquet. before she turned around to face her fiancé, she winked at magnolia.
"by the power vested in me," the priest said, glancing between marguerite and weston. "i know pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride."
weston took marguerite into his arms. "finally," he breathed out before placing his lips onto hers and dipping her to the floor. just how chuck and blair finalized their wedding ceremony.
