~Everything can be changed in an instant.
Everything.
And then there's only
before and after.~
My body jumped up before my mind had any idea of reality. I woke up suddenly with a panic mind, everything was disoriented and my body and mind was in distress. I tried to calm my breathing but my heart felt like it was going to explode. This time around those dreams seem to be more vivid like i'm reliving those days again. Everything seems faded now, but it terrifies me still even with fragments of it.
After a few moments I manage to relax, I look out the window to see the sun ray barely shining through.
I doubt anyone is awake in this household, they're always sleeping so late. They been so busy lately, they're all so hardworking and independent. One day I want to be like them strong, independent , ambitious for something greater but for now I have to stick with my part time job.
I should hurry and make breakfast for them, it's one of the things I can do for them.
I check the time again and it's 8:45 am.
Everything seems so quiet, too quiet. I start to head out my bedroom until I heard noises outside and muffled voices. I swing the door open, instantly there was a pop sound, caught by surprise there was confetti everywhere and the harmony of people singing.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY !" They all shouted in joy. Relieved, I look in completely awe at the cake before me. Is this what people normally do on birthdays?
" Awwww thank you!" I smiled at everyone.
"You're 18 now!You know what that means ~" Matthew slyly said receiving different reactions to where Somin face palmed, Hyungsik glared him down and Ji woo & J.seph burst out laughing. I just stood there clueless although i couldn't help but laugh.
In the future it's these moments that I'll treasure forever these times where we're all laughing, playing around, together.
"YA Matthew there's kids here! Anyways let go eat, i'm starving." Somin said just before hitting Matthew, we all gathered at the kitchen counter that was the border between the kitchen and living room. Hyungsik gently placed the cake down on the marble counter.
"Make a wish , (y/n)!!" Jiwoo happily said.I laugh once more overfilled with joy and touched by the sudden event . I turn to Hyungsik who was looking at me with a warm glance. Those harsh times washed off like they were a bad dream whenever he looks at me.
"Ya hurry i'm hungry " J.seph teased.
I wish we can stay like this, together.
