The bus was bumpy and smelly. Good thing I had brought Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and a few sketchbooks and pencils. I sat next to a girl about my age with similar brown hair, but we both avoided each other, and I never got a good look at her.
Eventually, the bus screeched to a halt in Stars Hollow. I was finally here! I was going to meet Lorelai and Christopher! I hopped off the bus, and I instantly realized I had no idea where to go. Slowly, I glanced left and right, looking for the bus girl, but she was already halfway down a street. Near where I was standing, I saw a diner, and I thought it looked nice enough.
My foster mom always told me about how Stars Hollow was so tiny, news traveled within seconds! Someone in there had to know Lorelai or Christopher. I walked with a skip in my step to Luke's Diner. As I opened the door, a bell chimed. An older man, probably in his 30's, stood with a coffee pot in a backwards cap and plaid.
"Hey, I was wondering," I walked over to the counter, "do you know Lorelai? Also, can I have about 20 cups of coffee?"
"You'll kill your brain cells, Rory," the man said dully as he poured coffee. "And what do you mean 'Do I know Lorelai'? Of course I know your mother."
"You do? My name's not Rory, it's Ollie," I scrunched my face and practically chugged the coffee. It was, by far, the best coffee in the world!
The man laughed, "Well, Ollie, are you even going to sit by your mom?"
"Where exactly...?" the man pointed to a table where a woman sat alone also chugging coffee. I walked over and sat by her, "Mom!"
I hugged her, and she laughed, "Geez, Rory! I just saw you before I left for Luke's!"
"Why does everyone keep calling me Rory? I didn't see you before I came to Luke's Diner," I frowned. Who was Rory?
"Rory-"
"Olivia! It's Ollie, mom. It's good to see you after sixteen years, even though I expected more than a hi, hello, why are you hugging me," I sat in the chair.
Mom spat out her coffee, "Olivia?!" The man ran over, still with the coffee pot. "Luke! Luke, this is my daughter, Olivia!"
"What am I missing? This is Rory, Lorelai," Luke filled mom's coffee pot.
"Nuh, no, Luke. This is Olivia, Rory's clearly identical twin," mom jumped out of her chair and hugged me a million more times.
Luke and I glanced at each other and shouted, "Twin?!"
"I didn't tell anyone about Olivia! I couldn't take care of them both, so I gave Olivia to foster care. I was embarrassed," mom was still hugging me, but before I knew it, she was hugging Luke.
"Wo-" Luke started.
"She came back! My baby girl!" Of course, it was back to me, and then it was dragging me out of the store.
"Twin?!" I shouted again. "Who is my twin?"
"Olivia Amber Gilmore, you're about to meet Lorelai Leigh Gilmore!" mom squealed, and we burst into a house.
Another person yelled, "Mom?"
"Have fun!" mom whispered into my ear. She shoved me into the room, and it took me a second to realize I wasn't looking into a mirror.
"You're me! You're me?" Lorelai and I said. We circled each other.
Lorelai spoke up, "I'm Lorelai Gilmore- Rory for short. Who are you?"
"Me? Well," I bit my lip, "I'm Olivia Gilmore- Ollie for short. Mom told me we're twins."
"Twins?!" Rory yelled again.
I laughed, "That's what Luke and I said."
"Where are you from, then?" Rory looked me up and down.
"I'm in foster care a few cities over. Foster care since birth," I pursed my lips. This is my family. Lorelai Gilmore, Rory and Ollie Gilmore, and somewhere is Christopher.
