" Lilly! You can't just! Lil-" I stammer as Lilly takes forkfuls of my food. She giggles, and shoves her fork in her mouth. I sigh and take a bite of pasta from my plate.
"Can you guys not be lame?" my friend Marcus laughs.
Lilly laughs," Yeah, whatever." I push a smile. The lunch bell rings and I immediately jolt up and dump my tray and then rush out. On my way out the door, several people call my name and somebody ruffles my hair. My shaggy platinum blonde hair falls in my eyes. I shove it away, and keep on walking, a red blush painting my face.
"Hey Grey!" several people call. I nod my head towards them but suddenly, the cork toes on my vans become very interesting.I squeeze my way to my locker, grab a book, textbook, and notebook for Social Studies. Once I'm in the class I sit down towards the back of class and take out of my notebook. I go back to a story I'm writing about 4 kids who discover they are a part of a prophecy. The bells rings.
" Okay!" Mr. Fin claps his hands together, " Lets get into this! Does anybody know about cave paintings and how they related to children?" he asks, "Just shout out!"
" They were mostly done by kids!" an asian girl with long eyelashes says. How did her eyelashes get so long? Are my eyelashes long? Is that a bad thing?
"Mr. Ellie? Are you following son." Everyone turns around and looks at me, I stare at my notebook and nod.~Time skip to at home~
"Auntie, I'm home. I say walking into the kitchen. She looks up from whatever she's making for dinner and smiles.
"Hey, G. How was school?"
I shrug and walk down the hallway towards my room.
"Greyson? Is that you kid?" My uncle asks.
"Uh-huh." I walk to my room and close the door behind me.
I sigh and fall onto my bed. I jump right back up and take long sides to my mirror. Then I inspect my eyes. Do I have long eyelashes?
"G!" My aunt calls in a high voice. I open my door and join my family at the table.
"Nice to see you today Callie." My uncle groans. My brother has been in his room all afternoon.
"Uncle. I told you its Carson now." Carson groans. He's transgender. How does someone know they're transgender? Is it genetic? How does he feel about it? Does he get buli-
" Greyson! Earth to Greyson!" Carson calls out. Why is yelling at me? What did I do? I start to hyperventilate.
"Woah, sorry dude. I didn't mean... I'm not mad. You didn't do anything." I nod at him, but toss my napkin on the table, silently excusing my self.
~Time skip ~
My Aunt and uncle are standing in my door frame.
"Sweetpea. We need to talk." Auntie says slowly.
