"Fiona!" I heard a familiar voice call my name, and I turned around to see Maxxie running towards me, a big smile on his face. He swept me off my feet and spun around, making me laugh.

"Jeez, someone's happy today." Jal said, as he placed me back down on my feet. Maxxie's big grin on his face said so. I laughed at his cuteness. "What's the news, Maxxie?" Jal asks.

"Okay well yesterday, I was practising my dance routine at the gym, and when I finished, a dance producer was there watching me and he gave me his card! He said I'm really talented and might be able to make a living out of it!" Maxxie pulled out the white card out of his pocket and handed it to me. In black simple print, it said Mark Hernsonler and a number at the bottom.

"That's great!" I squealed happily and Maxxie did too. The gave him the card back and he put it back in his pocket. "You're going to be famous, Maxxie."

Maxxie's smile dropped. "But I haven't told my dad yet. He won't let me call him. He say's dancing is a hobby, not a career." He sighs.

"That's bullshit. There are so many famous dancers out there." Michelle said, and began to name all the famous dancers. I slipped away and walked to my locker. As I opened it, I could hear movement in Maxxie's locker. I slowly walked over to it and stood in front of it, listening. I saw an eye peak out through the gap, and I quickly pulled the locker door open.

A girl wearing overalls and had short hair, her bangs clipped to the side, stared at me shocked. I was also shocked. Why was this unfamiliar girl hiding in Maxxie's locker.

"Um, why are you in Maxxie's locker?" I asked, and noticed the camera hanging from her pocket. The girl looked down at her shoes.

"Nothing." She said. Her voice was soft and her accent was Welsh.

"It's you who has been taking all those photos!" I exclaimed. The girl mouthed a 'sh' at me for saying it so loud.

"Please don't tell anyone! Please, I beg of you!" The girl pleaded. I stared at the girl in complete shock. I ddn't know if I should tell him or not, as I did feel sorry for the girl.

I sighed, looking around. No one was near. "Okay, but you need to stop what you are doing. Maxxie's getting suspicious." I whispered. The girl nodded her head frantically. I stepped out of the way so that she could get out of the locker. Once she did, I closed the locker door behind her.

"Fi, you coming?" I heard Maxxie's voice and turn around. He noticed the girl and gave her a friendly smile, obviously not knowing who she was or what she had been doing. The girl turned pink in the face, and I realized that she had a huge crush on him, hence the stalking.

I gave the girl a smile before running over to Maxxie, who threw an arm around my shoulders. As we walked away, I could feel the girls jealousy radiating from her.

"Who was that?" Maxie asked me as soon as we were far away from her.

"Just some girl in my Math's class." I lied, smiling at him.

We reached the others who sat on the oval, Chris and Anwar talking about boobs and the girls gossiping. Michelle straddled Tony's lap, snogging him. I sat down next to Jal, and Maxxie followed, also sitting next to her. Jal turned to us.

"Guys, we were just talking about a camping trip this weekend. We're leaving tonight." She informed us. I smiled, realizing how fun it would be, but then remembered my dad. My smile faltered.

"I'm so in, how about you, Fi?" Maxxie asked me enthusiastically.

"I'll have to see," I told her honestly, wondering if I could leave my mom for just two days.

Maxxie frowned. "Aw, fuck. Well, hopefully you can." He said..

"Yeah, hopefully."

When I got home after a long day, my dad was nowhere to be found. I rushed over to my moms bedroom, sighing in relief when I noticed that she was asleep. I walked over to her bed and grabbed the end of her blanket, pulling it up over her body.

Just then, I heard the front door slam shut and race out of the bedroom, to have found my extremely drunk dad stumbling around. "There you are, my sweet, sweet daughter." He slurs, engulfing me in a sloppy hug. I tensed up in his arms. He was so drunk that he was actually being nice.

I took this as an opportunity to ask him. "Dad?" I squeaked, still fearing him.

"Yes?"

"Can I go on a camping trip this weekend?" I braced myself for a punch or something, but surprisingly, he said yes. "Really?"

"Yes, deary." He slurred, before stumbling to the side and then completely collapsing to the ground.

I walked over to my bedroom and grabbed a bag, filling it up with necessary things for the trip. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, and begun to write out a note.

Mum, I am on a camping trip with friends for the weekend. I hope you are okay while I am gone. Love you, Fiona

I walked back out of my room, passed my dad who was still on the ground, and into my moms room. She was still in the same sleeping position as she before. I placed the note on the bedside table and pulled out my phone. I texted Maxxie.

I can come.

Almost immediately, I received a text back.

Yay, come over when you're ready!

I leaned down and placed a kiss on my moms forehead, before heading out of the apartment. I made my way over to the elevator, and pressed the button. When the elevator door opened, Maxxie's stalker stood there, looking quite nervous to have seen me.

"Oh, uh, hey." I said and stepped into the elevator.

"Hi," She said, barely looking at me.

"Where are you heading off to?" I asked her, my finger hovering over the buttons on the walls.

"Ground." She told me, and I pressed down on the 'G' button. We stood in awkward silence as the elevator descended, leaving a strange feeling in my body. The girl was obviously uncomfortable in my presence, now that I knew that she would hide in Maxxie's locker and take pictures of him for who knows what. I was extremely tempted to tell Maxxie, but I didn't want him to get the poor, lonely girl in trouble.

The elevator doors opened, and we both stepped out into the corridor. "Well, I guess I'll see you around?" I began to walk away, but the girl called for me.

"Wait!" She called out. I stopped walking and turned around. "Are you going camping?" She asked.

"How do you know?" I raised an eyebrow at her. She blushed, and I realize that she must have listened to Maxxie say it. "What about it?"

"Can I come?" She asked, her voice light. I stared at her for a moment, contemplating whether or not she should come.

"Why?" I asked, trying to not sound like a total bitch. It was just that, the girl was a bit crazy and she was worried about Maxxie.

"I really want to get to know Maxxie, I really like him." She said. It is then when I noticed her backpack, and I realized that she was already packed for it.

"Uh, yeah, sure." I said, before turning around. As we walked towards Maxxie's apartment, I learned that the girls name was Sketch.

Reaching Maxxie's door, I knocked on it three times and we waited. The girl seemed besides herself, excited to finally meet her dream man.

Maxxie's door opened and he smiled at me. When he noticed Sketch, he didn't loose his smile. Maxxie was a really friendly guy which is one of the things that I really liked about him. But how would he react if he knew about Sketch?

"Maxxie, this is Sketch. She wants to come with us." I said.

"Yeah, sure. Come in, Chris should be here to pick us up any minute now."
